UK stock situation (South) for sale on the 11th
The following stores have confirmed to me how many of Hayley's DVD they have physically in stock, for sale on Monday the 11th April:
HMV Southampton - 5 in stock (1 pre-ordered). HMV Portsmouth - 2 in stock HMV Brighton - 1 in stock HMV Crawley - 1 in stock HMV Winchester (none ordered) MVC Fareham - 1 in stock MVC Winchester - 1 in stock
WH Smith Fareham - none ordered but can be ordered on their website and delivered free to any branch.
So there you have it, out in the smaller towns at specialist music shops, 1 in stock if you're lucky. But in the larger towns and cities there should be more available. Don't expect to find any at supermarkets, or multiples like WH Smith.
It's not available from Amazon UK so it's hard to know how well it's doing before the release - probably not very well as HMV and WH Smith told me it's not in their pre-release chart. I've seen no prerelease publicity about it, either. However - I believe that Amazon do not currently contribute to the UK DVD charts so paradoxically, that may be a good thing as any sales by them would be wasted, chartswise.
I have absolutely NO IDEA how well Hayley's new DVD will do in next week's UK chart... but it would certainly help if as many fans as possible buy their copies in the first week, preferably on Monday. The unpublished "midweek" charts are emailed to shops on Tuesday - and will decide what (and if!) they order for later in the week and next week.

Hello Dave, and Greetings from London! YES SIR!I'll definitely be looking to buy a copy of the DVD here in London on Monday, and I'll make a posting about the stock situation. Oh dear, I think I've just moved up into 4th place in the top twenty posters chart on the Forum. I'll never catch you though! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIt's Hayley's 18th Birthday tomorrow. Time seems to have flown by since Olympia! Bye for now, Richard

Hello again Emmett! Thank you for the info, but I would only want a signed copy if Hayley signed it in front of me, then I could thank her with another kiss! Hayley's DVD is released tomorrow! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheerio from London, Richard

I have just checked the availability of the DVD in every store in my hometown. All but one of them said they will NOT be stocking it. The other said they are expecting ONE copy (as previously indicated) but it is not guaranteed to arrive on the day! Most of them say they would not stock any music DVD until it is in the charts. So, how’s it supposed to get into the charts if nobody stocks it?
Thankfully, I ordered it from two shops a week ago. Watch this space to find out if they turn up!
Oh yes, happy birthday Hayley!

... Most of them say they would not stock any music DVD until it is in the charts. So, how’s it supposed to get into the charts if nobody stocks it? Good point, Roger. The answer is... to force it into the charts! Fanbases can do that (prerelease charts) by pre-ordering, but that didn't work with Hayley, this time. Next best thing is for all the fans to go out on Day One and buy up the entire stocks (i.e. stock of one, lol). So out we must all go, tomorrow! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Hayley's birthday bash will also help - if Decca have organised it right, to sell DVDs "officially" at the party! Next, some press releases and advertising by Decca will persuade some shops - so come on, Decca! Finally, Merchant of Venice DVD is out.... tomorrow! When the movie buffs hear Hayley sing "Bridal Ballad" I am certain that quite a few will rush out to buy "Pure" and some will want her DVD. M of V is today the no. 14 overall DVD at Amazon and their no. 4 prelease DVD

Thats the way most of the music in the top 40 pop charts are sold. With a new act or a one hit wonder the record company buys them all to draw attention to the artist.
I pre-ordered my copy from Presto Classical, so hopefully a lot of others have done this and then some shops might take notice. I wonder how long before Amazon stock it, or even if they bother. Fingers crossed!!

Hello folks, I've had an exhausting morning but I've got some fairly good news from London! I found copies of Hayley's DVD in the following stores in Central London:- HMV, 150 Oxford Street - 10 copies. HMV, King Street, Covent Garden - 1 copy. Virgin Megastore, Oxford Street - 4 copies, but now only 3 left because I bought one! Borders, Charing Cross Road - 1 copy. On your marks... Get set... Go!HMV, 352 Oxford Street are expecting an unknown number from the warehouse later today, and Virgin Megastore, Piccadilly Circus say they have 6 copies in stock, but I couldn't find them! The DVD is priced at £16.99 everywhere, the Region Code is 0 (all countries), and it comes in a light blue box which makes it easy to find on the shelves. Judging by the photographs of Hayley on the cover, I'm going to enjoy it, but first I'm going to have to save up for a DVD player!!! If I see any more copies on my travels I'll let you know, and I'll have another look in the big London stores later in the week. Bye for now, and happy viewing, Richard

I have just bought mine! It was the only copy to be stocked by MVC in this town. I also ordered it a week ago from MFU2 but it has failed to materialise! There are currently no other copies in this town.
I am reminded of two previous conversations I have had with Hayley. In December 2003, she told me she would be making a DVD. All I can say is, she sure knows how to keep a bloke waiting! In March 2004, she said it would be released a little later than she had initially indicated but added "it will be worth waiting for". Then she giggled! You got that one right, Hayley - it sure is worth waiting for and I haven't even seen it yet. I have to wait until I get home this evening before I can watch it as I am writing this from work. I just may have to leave early!
To those of you who have managed to buy it, HAPPY VIEWING!
Roger

Got it, I'm listening to and watching it NOW, widescreen in stereo through my hi-fi system. On to track two now, excellent video and sound quality and phenomenal Hayley i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif (Anyone who's not seen it or only on converted videotapes is in for a treat, too!) It's released in the UK in NTSC region 0 (worldwide) but plays perfectl;y on my PAL systems. Tghis also means you US guys can order it from the UK and it will play!!!!!!!! Only ONE copy was in stock in the whole of Southampton - now there are none (I've got it!) HMV have 5 more on order, Virgin megastore none in stock, one on order. Oh. and as a bonus for my troubles, VClassic FM played Bridal Ballad while I was driving home!!! Gotta go - excuse messy typing, there's a DVD to watch!!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif :

Oh My Gosh!!!!!!!! Eeeeeeeeekk!! Why am I screaming? Because... [snip lots of good stuff!] ... Hayley!!!!!!!!! You are amazing, Hayley! Watched it, but sorry folks, I can't do a proper review of my shiny new Hayley DVD right now because I'm shaking, probably doing a "Susan" (read her starting post in this thread). Suffice it to say that I've had a few of Hayley's songs on auto-repeat and won't be watching any TV this evening... Highlights for me: Aria (Cantilena), May It Be, Spiritual Medley and the best version of Wuthering Heights I've ever heard. Heck, I didn't even particularly like the song but THIS beats the lot, brilliant! More highlights... well, everything! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifPS: WHERE IS SUSAN?

[glow=red,2,300]GOT IT!![/glow] The darn trouble is, I've been so busy since getting back with it, I haven't even taken it out of it's box yet. To find a copy, I had to let my fingers do the walking (think about it i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif). Eventually, it required a round trip of over 30 miles to get it, as there are none anywhere near here. I found one in HMV Ellesmere Port - the only copy they had in. Now they have none because I bought it. Borders claim that it is not even in their suppliers hands yet, but it is down as being an item to come in. As for Liverpool, I couldn't say. I never go there if I can avoid it. So, there was one available in an area serving close to 750,000 people. Keith.

I have just watched it for the first time and it must be, without doubt, the most wonderful DVD ever made….. but it’ll grow on me!
The concert itself is gorgeous and certainly features Hayley at her best. But there is so much more to it than that as you will see when you watch the special features. It is all quite breathtaking and absolutely beautiful. Over two hours of pure enchantment.
Oh, I shall sleep well tonight!
