Can I ask a stupid question? Why are there so few NZ members on this forum compared to the number of UK members, who seem to dominate. After all Hayley is hugely popular in NZ, rather like Elton John or the Beatles in England, Yes? Belinda is just about the only NZ poster I ever see (apologies to any others I've missed). Martin Hi, I'll answer this in this thread since it was asked here. so i better mention WSS Dori have you had the chance to look for it yet. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThere are a few other posters Rodders,Dori Ross, But i guess it comes down to this, We rarely hear of Hayley unless there is a album coming out or a tour then the interest in creases. As there is more media about her..Alot of people remember Hayley from Way back but when this audience passes on ,im not sure enough is being done to Ensure continued knowledge of her over here. and I guess interest is lost in the two years between concerts . i'll always be here ,but to let you in on a secret it hurts like hell to watch the fun you have. Belinda Hello Belinda (and everybody else...) It feels like its been years since I've been on HWI!! I've been terribly sick with a throat infection, which slowed life down a little... I visited Borders today, and they had no copies in stock or on order for West Side Story with Hayley. Thought that was stupid since this shop is in the leading artists' country... Oh well. That was too bad. However, Celtic Woman was on display and they had a nice, big, golden sticker on the DVD cover which read 'featuring Hayley Westenra'. At least they did one thing right!! I guess I'll have to check into my local Warehouse to see if they have any in stock. At the moment, i'm working on getting better from my sickness. I hope to be up and running in no time to catch up with all those assignments....and Hayley!! Dori

Hello Dori Sorry to hear that you've not been feeling the best. Glad to hear that you are doing much better now. I'm hoping that the West Side Story musical will at least get a mention on the news over here, seeing that it's the 50th anniversary today. I hope Warehouse will have a copy of the CD. Take care, Joe

Hello Dori
I'm very happy to hear that you are recovering from your throat infection. Sounds like you had a bad time with it. As Richard said, I hope you manage to find a copy of West Side Story to speed up your recovery!
Best wishes Grant

'West Side Story' is going to be released on November 5, 2007 in France. It's only the second CD featuring Hayley to make it to the French market. The other one was a combination of titles taken from 'Pure' and 'Odyssey' and was released in May 2006, just a few days before Hayley came to Paris with Il Divo. 'West Side Story' can be pre-ordered on Fnac, France's largest music store. Stephany

Hi all, I saw 'West Side Story' in several Parisian music stores and had a chat with one of the guys who worked there. He told me that it was a real success! Many people are buying this new version. He thinks it's because at the moment there are performances of the musical at the Theatre de Chatelet of Paris. But also because 'Radio Classique' (a French radio) strongly advertised the CD in the past few weeks. Hope it will open new doors for Hayley on the French soil. Stephany

Hi & Thats really good to know Stephany, I just rang one of our main CD chain stores "Sanity" in Sydney & there's still no sign of it here. The guy knew of the release himself but there are no shop memos to that effect Graeme Ps Nor in Borders either nor HMV nor Virgin records.

Hi Graeme, It's disappointing to see that the CD is not widely available in Australia. Fortunately, it's the contrary in France. Today, there was a nice display of 'West Side Story' CDs in Paris, near Notre Dame de Paris. Stephany

Hi Graeme, Hope I can be of a little help here. I have an account with www.sanity.com.au and this item is available under the WEST SIDE STORY heading and is the last item on the list of cds. The price is A$29.99 and when I tested the buying process it was put in my cart ok. Best of luck Gordon ,

Hello, I had a good surprise in the plane on my way to Manchester this afternoon. Air France made a selection of songs for the flight and they included Hayley's version of 'I feel pretty'. Unfortunately everyone around me was sleeping so they missed it. I was the only one listening to the aircraft's radio Stephany

But Stephany, you were supposed to wake them up. Then Hayley's soothing voice would have sent them to sleep again! Welcome back to the UK. Roger
