Hi everyone, The new recording of 'West Side Story' for the 50th Birthday of the musical has finally a release date for the US. The CD will be available on August 20, 2007. You can pre-order it now on Amazon.com at $35.99 Just as a reminder, the CD will also be released in New Zealand on August 27, 2007 (according to The New Zealand Herald). Hi Stephany, I just checked "my" amazon. On amazon.de WSS is available not until 21 September - EUR 18.99. In comparison to the GBP 9.98 it seems a little bit overpriced.  Karsten |

Yes, Its certainly slow to arrive here. I've had mine since Aug 13th. Not hard to guess the reason.(for the delay that is.) Absolutely love it.....we have a copy in the car but it also has Hayley singing Somewhere plus Rule Britt. & land of Hope & Glory(courtesy of Woburn Abbey concert) It's been working very hard & is a bit of a nuisance as when you arrive home from a trip you can't leave the car till the track finishes. Hi Everyone,
West Side story has been sighted in NZ, the shop i was in
The Cd and DVd store got it in Yesterday. $29
Its still not in store at the Warehouse. they usually sell theirs for about $22
I also asked about Vittorio Grigolo's cd was not released here

Hi all. I went to The Warehouse,South City, today. they apparently got their copies in Friday All 2 of them  or is that  OMG NZ how embarrassing.  and get this they can't find them nor could i. But they are still there somewhere as they seperate the cd's from the covers.and the cd's are there. I went to the Soundz Cd store in South City also and they have no record on their computer of its release  Lets say i was far from impressed Belinda |

Hi Belinda, According to what Steve Abbott told me on Friday, I am surprised they are there at all just yet. He said they will be released in New Zealand but he doesn't have a date yet. Maybe The Warehouse have them as an import. That might explain why there are only two. But it doesn't explain why they can't find them.  For the record, he also said it will be released (eventually!) in Australia, Japan, Korea and Thailand. I'm sorry to say we don't have any clues about the US, Canada or anywhere else at this stage. Yep, I remember seeing both those earlier posts but the fact remains that Bedlam Management are now saying that no release date has been confirmed for NZ and that no decision has been made about a US release at all. We know from past experience that decisions are made, changed, cancelled, reinstated, etc. That may explain the current confusion.
