I just got my copy from the CD Store in Riccarton Mall. They had a couple next to where they keep Hayleys CDs. I haven't listened to it yet.

'West Side Story' is out on September 21, 2007 in Germany. The info was on Hayley's German official website with a link to Amazon.de. There's also nice picture of Hayley&Vittorio! Stephany

I received just my West Side Story from ebay (of course). I have not had the chance to listen to much except for "I feel pretty".
It was inexpensive on ebay.

Hi Stephany , Re Westside Story you can find it but there are not many and i want to put a big sign up Hayley's on this. they need to advertise it as having Hayley on it . unless you pick up the cd and look closer no one would know. Oh yeah very reasonable to eat chocolate , It's a comfort food so i bought two a cd some coca cola and ate junk food at this rate by the time we hear re this nz tour i'll have to go on a diet Belinda

Can I ask a stupid question? Why are there so few NZ members on this forum compared to the number of UK members, who seem to dominate. After all Hayley is hugely popular in NZ, rather like Elton John or the Beatles in England, Yes? Belinda is just about the only NZ poster I ever see (apologies to any others I've missed).

Martin Hi, I'll answer this in this thread since it was asked here. so i better mention WSS Dori have you had the chance to look for it yet. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThere are a few other posters Rodders,Dori Ross, But i guess it comes down to this, We rarely hear of Hayley unless there is a album coming out or a tour then the interest in creases. As there is more media about her..Alot of people remember Hayley from Way back but when this audience passes on ,im not sure enough is being done to Ensure continued knowledge of her over here. and I guess interest is lost in the two years between concerts . i'll always be here ,but to let you in on a secret it hurts like hell to watch the fun you have. Hi Martindn, I understand fully your wonderment Martin but the sustainability of Hayley's career seems to be dependent on CD's sold plus concert tickets. What Hayley herself receives of all this, who knows.
But NZ has 4.45 Million people (very roughly) & lots of musicians, and so Its not hard to see Hayley under utilized in her own country.
UK has ~ 60 Million & a smaller land mass than NZ & also lots of musicians but more major cities than NZ so it makes more sense to transport Hayley around to her audiences & be based near them.
I've been to 2 Hayley gatherings now since Sept. 05. One was Christchurch Jan 06 & the other Melbourne May 07. Hayley did not come to me. I went 3500 kms & 900 kms respectively to hear & to see her. Am I mad? Well, that's debatable but, from my point of view, she's just so special that she's worth the financial & physical effort. Do my travel expenses benefit her? No, not one bit. I even feel slightly guilty that the amount that contributes to her income from me is so small as compared with plane tickets, fuel, accommodation costs.
The same argument holds for Australia, an unimaginably huge country with only 25 million people spread out all over the place. Also has its own artists but not HW.
According to the music shop people Hayley sells CD's here in reasonably good numbers but I personally know of no one who has purchased their own Hayley CD or DVD.
Now, to follow the thread topic a bit, West Side Story has been released here since Sept 16th but I have not seen one copy of it yet. I've deliberately asked in our local music sellers but nothing so far. A lot of people are missing a real treat !!!!

Hold on Graeme - you do yourself an injustice! Maybe your travel expenses do not benefit Hayley, but I don't think it is always about money - not to Hayley anyway. I am sure the pleasure she gets from seeing any one of us, particularly those who have travelled long distances and who she consequenly doesn't see very often, is worth far more to her than the sale of a few CD's. As for being mad to travel long distances to see Hayley, of course you're not. It's the most natural thing in the world and I think everyone should have something so special in their lives. So many of my friends just 'exist' they never 'live' and I would hate to be like that. Getting off soap box now! Very best wishes Grant
