Hi Grant, Comet, Dave and Andrew, The seller got the CD in a 'job lot' from an online Second Spin record company. He is now selling them on Ebay individually. He has quite a few similar Decca promo's etc ( No !! ......he hasn't got any more of Hayley's , I have had a good look i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif) . It therefore seems plausible it originally came from a 'clear out' of old Promo's etc from some Decca base in the U.K. Graham

Hi fellow Collectors, Does anyone know what the two tracks are on this sampler It was originally in the Ebay thread posted by Karsten. With the picture from the CD 'The Best of Hayley Westenra ' I assume it is that there is one sampler track from each CD Thanks, Graham

Hi Graham
This promo is becoming quite rare.
It contains, Nada SouSou, the bonus song on the Japanese Treasure, and Time To Say Goodbye, bonus song on Japanese Best of Hayley Westenra.
Best wishes Grant

Ah, I think one of our fellow fans from China, Yang, had bought this album from the 'underground market' (aka black market). He once mentioned to me how happy he was that finally he got Nada Sousou with CD quality.

Thanks Grant, You certainly don't have to wait long for an answer when a question is posted, your reply was within 10 minutes !!! Very interesting to use the bonus songs of two albums on one promo. It is therefore a useful one to get if you don't have them on the main CD's. ( Fortunately I do have them i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif)No I am not surprised it is rare, most of Hayley's promos up to this point are, and getting expensive as a result Thanks for the info, Best Wishes, Graham

Hi Joyce , Grant, Andrew, Graham, Hayley MEETS Japanese SongsDoes anyone else get the feeling this is not the "real deal" The numbers in the clear section at the centre of the disc...most peculiar ! The quality of the disc and printing is a bit below par for an OFFICIAL promo. Especially a Japanese one where the quality is usually superior to a similar European product. Could anyone from DECCA verify that these were OFFICIALLY distributed or are they an invention of the "Mysterious Night Shift" ?

Hi Paul, It is in a similar package to the 'Treasure promo' from Japan. I have the same sort of numbering in the centre on both 512OLGO82LH10645M on Hayley Westenra Meets Japanese songs and......5123KLO31LHO7396A4 on Treasure . They could of course both be 'made at night' but they appear to come from the same/similar source Best wishes, Graham

Hi Graham, folks, If you compare it with the Nada SouSou DJ Sampler the quality of the disc is substantially inferior ?? but it does not appear to be individually burnt like a home burnt disc ? also there is no rear of case printed insert in the Hayley MEETS Japanese Songs... or at least not in my one ! The paper insert is a simple 121 X120mm photo, paper white on the rear, no text,

Hi Comet I concur with Graham in that I believe it to be genuine. I also have Japanese Odyssey and Treasure promo's and they are all in identical CD cases - i.e. cream plastic. the only difference with the latest "Hayley Meets Japanese Songs" is that the track list and details are on the CD rather than a folded insert in the lid. The reproduction quality is excellent too, which was not the case with the recent bootleg we all got sucked into buying Best wishes Grant

Hi Comet, Your comment about this CD being a product of the "Mysterious Night Shift" was hilarious!!! Hmm... You raise a very interesting point or two there! I don't think that the presentation for this particular promo CD is the "real deal" either... but collectable none the less! This is the bare minimum "cotton version" as opposed to the "silk version" i.e. the Deluxe copy with the cardboard sleeve and CD insert which includes all those beautiful pictures of Hayley... It's just as well that you can have cotton and silk, isn't it? Andrew

Hi Andrew,
Are you saying your "MEETS" is the same as ours or does it seem to be a genuine item ?

.........HUH....... To be honest, i have no idea if this is a genuine one I have two other promo's from Japan on its way to the Netherlands, a Treasure one, and a Best of Hayley promo. .....i'll have to wait and see!! BTW, on Ebay appeared another promo, and this one was a "Hayley sings japanese songs". I really hope someone from Decca knows more about this. Greetz JOYCE.

I took it they were given to tempt the general public to buy the whole album so quality was important. Hayley Westenra Meets Japanese Songs is an (early ... before the title was decided ) promo for radio stations etc so the art work was not so essential. Best Wishes, Graham
