Hi Stephany, Those songs which Hayley co-wrote are: Let Me Lie Le Notte Del Silenzio Summer Rain Melancholy Interlude Of those, I can easily select a favourite. Without doubt it is 'Le Notte Del Silenzio'. I nearly voted for that one as my overall favourite but eventually chose 'Summer Fly' because it is so different from anything that Hayley has previously recorded yet she sings it so well. Roger Hi Roger, It was tough for me to pick just one favourite... 'Abide With Me' (as previously mentioned). My other favourites are, 'Sonny' and 'Summer Fly'. I agree with your comments about 'Summer Fly' being different from any piece which Hayley has previously recorded- it's got a real country edge which I just LOVE! I can just imagine Fiona Pears enjoying playing along to that one too! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAndrew

Hi Andrew,
I think many of us have imagined Fiona backing Hayley in a live performance of 'Summer Fly'. I hope it is something we are all able to see for ourselves before the year is over.

Hi everyone I was the first to vote in this poll and so far, I am the only one to vote for E Pari Ra. Although I also found it difficult to choose as I have many favourites, I picked this song partly because I feel it is unique to Hayley, in that it is not a song that has been done by many others over the years. Also, it is a song that comes from her roots, the musical arrangement is absolutley superb, particularly the irish flutes and to me it is 100% Hayley Mark.

I agree, Mark. 'E Pari Ra' is wonderful and I seriously considered giving it my vote. Even though it is still early days, it is amazing how the vote is split between so many songs. Perhaps that is indicative of the difficult choice that was set by whoever chose to hold this poll. Roger

It is a sign of high-quality. Many artists prefer to focus on a single (or two or three tracks); while the rest of their album is...inequal - but Hayley clearly wants her full album to be enjoyed. And she got it right !!

Hayley clearly wants her full album to be enjoyed. I think that is very true and, yes, she has got it right. The classical purists say you should never listen to a segment of a work. You should listen to the entire symphony, for example, and not just one movement from it. (Try telling Classic FM that!). For me, the same is true of Treasure. When I first one track and a few samples, Steve Abbott said "It works better as a whole". Again, he was so right. The album is one complete work and each track is a movement. Every one is lovely but they can only be fully appreciated when you hear them all in sequence. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Roger

Hi Stephany, I agree with you that the difficulty of choosing a best track from Treasure indicates a good quality album... and also (in this case) a varied one. I find it difficult to choose between two or more tracks when they are all good and have very different styles, tempos etc. In fact I still cannot choose between half a dozen of them, some of which currently have no votes. I'm listening yet again to the continuous play of sample tracks on the HWI main site to help me to decide! I think Treasure is an album that proves Roger's rule that you need one "killer" track to make a successful album. Or does it disprove it? Don't ask me! Incidentally, E Pari Ra is one of the six (or more!) and the current leader Abide With Me is not - but I like Abide With Me! Maybe there should be an extra option in the poll: "The Complete Album" i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheers, Dave

I notice that Danny Boy hasn't got a vote yet. Is it because we've heard too much of that song already? Was it a good choice for Hayley to include it in her album? Do people grow tired of it?

I've listened to 'Treasure' many times now, and I agree it's necessary to hear the whole album to fully appreciate its beauty. However, I don't always play the tracks in the correct sequence, because to me the songs fit together well in any order. Try using the 'random' or 'shuffle' mode on your CD player and see if you agree. Best Wishes, Richard

Hi Stephany,
It is true that I had grown tired of 'Danny Boy' but my appreciation of it has been rekindled since hearing Hayley's version. The same was true of 'The Water Is Wide' from Odyssey. I guess this proves that it takes aremarkable singer like Hayley to breath new life into a song that we thought had been overdone.

Heh heh. I had to chose between 'Let Me Lie' and 'Abide With Me'. So I settled on 'Let Me Lie'. I'm not going to get bored of any of the songs. Its ironic that I thought I was going to be disappointed and 16 songs and not one skip! The song's wont get boring because of the subtleties in Hayley's voice. I'll never get bored listening to them.

Having received the album, I cannot decide on my favourite. There are several really good tracks. I really like 'Let Me Lie' and 'Summer Rain.' I will vote later when I have decided! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Having only ordered Treasure on amazon.uk on the 1st and receiving it today (6th) and listening to it once it was difficult to have a favourite yet. In fact all the songs are little treasures. But I voted for Let me Lie as it gave me the biggest lump in my throat.
