Hi everyone,
Based on the comments elsewhere on the Treasure board, I suspect a lot of people won't be able to select a favourite track as they are all so good. I am therefore not expecting to be inundated with votes, but I promised a poll would begin today so here it is.
I have deliberately not included the tracks that are only available on the digital version.
Depending on the popularity of this thread, we may start further polls for other versions when they are released.

Hello Roger and everybody! I agree it is very difficult to select just one favourite track, because the whole album is so good and Hayley sings every song to perfection. I've had to pick 'Santa Lucia', following the wonderful live performance at Cadogan Hall on Saturday. Every time I hear the song, I think of Hayley and that long green dress gently swaying in time with the music. Magic! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard

I just can't decide - sorry!

I'd have to go for "Abide with me". In fact I'm going to have it played at my funeral. I know that sounds morbid but two of my family died young and I'm not taking any chances ! The other piece incidentally will be the slow movement from Tchaikovsky's 4th Symphony. Maybe I should start a new thread : "Music to die for....!"

Hi Jeff
I don't think you are being morbid at all. I made the same decision the first time I heard Abide With Me - it is just so beautiful.
I admire your courage to post on such a personal matter and give others (me!) with less courage the chance to follow suit.
I would add that, having made the decision and knowing that Hayley will be singing at my final journey, fills me with an amazing peace.
God bless you Hayley!!

Even though I haven't heard the album yet, I'm sure after hearing the clips that my favorite song will be Summer Rain, but I'll wait until I get the cd to vote just to make sure.

Hi there, My first favorite song was *Santa Lucia*, but has now slightly been surpassed by *Le Notte Del Silenzio* ! I love listening to all of her Duets, but this I one just tops it for me !! She really let's her voice FLY, if I may put it that way ! And Humphry's voice accompanies her beautifully, almost staying in the background for Hayley to be heard most gloriously !! Love, Marianne

I will vote. I'm just not sure when! So far, I have narrowed it down to a choice of three. It's no good, I shall just have to listen to it again! Roger

Mmmmm... rather difficult question to answer. However, I always think that a good measure of the best song on an album is the one that you can't get out of your head and you find that you are either humming or whistling it wherever you go.
On that basis then it has to me for me "One Fine Day".

Mmmmmmmmmm Tricky one! I like Summer Rain and Summer Fly but I think Summer Rain has it for me. When Hayley wrote this I think it was a very special song for her and she sings it with real feeling. I vote for Summer RainThere's a poem by James R Caine called Summer Rain. It looks like a good one for Jeff's funeral! SUMMER RAIN Each day a stagnant death. I sit and gaze unseeing, ponder paths not taken, roads misty in regret. If I could but start again, I say, things might have been different. . . .
The past. those fossilized footsteps. How long till the darkness comes? Till worms make me their home? I am a tree, reaching forever for the sun; craving light I can not touch nor grasp. My roots are trapped in stone. Even my skin resembles bark. I can but wait, suspended in this intolerable silence and dream of that summer rain.

Well folks, I did say I wasn't going to vote on this one, because I couldn't decide what it would be.
Well, I feel I have to be true to myself and, having made a very important decision about one particular song, I have just voted for:
Abide With Me

I haven't got the CD yet - but from the samples, I'm pretty sure that "One fine day" will get my vote. "Sonny" also sounds incredible. Same for "Le Notte del Silenzio" and "Summer Rain". [....] OK - I won't decide before having the full CD. And even then, I doubt picking one will be easy!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAnd among those Hayley wrote and composed herself, what is your favourite?

Hi Stephany,
Those songs which Hayley co-wrote are:
Let Me Lie Le Notte Del Silenzio Summer Rain Melancholy Interlude
Of those, I can easily select a favourite. Without doubt it is 'Le Notte Del Silenzio'. I nearly voted for that one as my overall favourite but eventually chose 'Summer Fly' because it is so different from anything that Hayley has previously recorded yet she sings it so well.
