Oh yep, that makes lots of sense - quite clever actually, when you think about it. I keep forgetting every region has its own version... Dori

Wow Hayley’s CD will be here soon. Awesome! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I'm watching the video on her website right now. It is cool. If only my DSL wasn't having trouble again... Will Celtic Woman finally be updating their website and promote Hayley's CD as they do the others?

Hi Tashi! They already did... she has her own page under the 'Artists' section. I agree with you about the video... it's amazing. Somehow, I felt an immediate connection with this CD -- it's obviously a very personal thing for her, and that shows because she really sings from her heart. It's going to be her best yet! Oksy

I just found this on Amazon.com under Product Description: "Hayley's third solo album is a very personal collection of classical arias, Irish and Maori folk songs - representing treasured people and places on her remarkable musical journey. Recorded in Dublin, Ireland, Hayley's third solo album is a very personal collection of classical arias, Irish and Maori folk songs - representing treasured people and places in her remarkable musical journey. For the first time the album also includes several original tracks written by Hayley herself. Celtic Treasure is a celebration of Hayley's family roots, and her grandparent's journey across the World on the first boat that left Ireland for New Zealand in the 1880s - taking with them a rich musical heritage. Her grandmother - a singer, and her grandfather, who played the accordion, were to be important influences on Hayley's musical development. Hayley grew up hearing her grandmother singing Italian opera arias in English. Hayley has continued this tradition by recording the well-known aria One Fine Day... ('Un bel di) from Puccini's Madama Butterfly. Hayley's grandmother also sang Irish folk tunes, and Hayley includes one of them - Danny Boy on the album as a tribute to her. Another Irish folk tune Sonny, is the first recording in which Hayley accompanies herself on the piano. In the same vein as Hayley's signature song Pokarekare Ana from her debut album Pure, Hayley's deep sense of pride as a New Zealander, and the simple beauty of her voice come together in E Para Ra - a Maori lovesong reflecting her own love of her homeland. Hayley's first recordings of her own songs bring together all these musical influences. They include her compositions Let Me Lie and Summer Rain and her lyrics to a haunting lute song by the Elizabethan English composer John Dowland, called simply Melancholy Interlude." i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Thanks for finding that, Meagan! I created a clickable link to 'Celtic Treasure' at Amazon.com in your post. We're gradually finding out more about Hayley's new album, and I'm totally convinced it's going to be her best ever! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

Hi Meagan,
Mant thanks for tracking down some more revealing background to Celtic Treasures. It really does sound like we're in for a treat and it is great to have some information before we get the real thing!

Hi Meagan,
Thank you for finding that little gem. I have seen and heard a few details about the album but I was not aware that she is playing the piano on one of the tracks. It may be true but I can't confirm it at the moment. The insert from the CD will surely tell us but I will endeavour to find out before then.

Thank you Meagan. With thanks to Gerald Westenra, I can now confirm that Hayley does, indeed, play the piano on 'Sonny'! Roger

It is so amazing to hear that finally Hayley is going to put pen to paper to voice and notes... her work.... that is trully a bonus... Not that we needed another one with all the great albums she has done!
Does anybody know how many songs will be Hayley's, and if they will be of the Classical or Crossover/Pop variety... from my own perspective I would love a bit more POP and a bit less Classical! Lol!

I would just like to add, that just like Oksana stated:
"I agree with you about the video... it's amazing. Somehow, I felt an immediate connection with this CD -- it's obviously a very personal thing for her, and that shows because she really sings from her heart. It's going to be her best yet!"
It too feels very personal to me, as much as it is obviously personal to her. Especially, you see, since I have Irish roots (My Surname is Kelly... and my dad comes from Liverpool and his forefathers came from Irelad!)(God knows when or where from though) so it does speak to me... but I find it also speaks to me on a spiritual level... and for that I am always grateful to our Hayley for bringing it to the world!
Truly you speak wisely when we all feel that this albulm is going to be amazing, and truly her greatest acheievement to date!
We can only wait with bated breath for the CD to land in our Hi-Fi's!
Love and Light

Hi Everyone, Yes the cd looks like it will be the best ever and with songs to sing along to i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif. It will be interesting to see what songs you will get in the US if its nearly all the same as the UK except for maybe one special song . I await patiently( well not really) the NZ release date Belinda

Hi Belinda, I hope there are enough differences in the USA version to warrant buying both, Its nice to collect more than one version of each CD, I wonder if we will get two UK versions like we did on Odyssey. I am sure you will be one of the first in NZ to get a copy of the UK version Best Wishes Steve
