Suppose you were to be stranded on a deserted island for a very long time and were allowed to load only 10 Hayley Westenra tunes onto your solar-powered iPod. Which songs will you pick?
I'll start us off with my choices:
1. Dark Waltz 2. Heaven 3. Dido's Lament 4. Summer Fly 5. Shenandoah 6. Bist Du Bei Mir 7. Silent Night 8. Pokarekara Ana 9. May It Be 10. Nada Sou Sou

No offense, but that's a Meav (CW) song which Hayley has not officially recorded... Sorry, can't allow because no such mp3 file exists, unless it's a bootleg from a Hayley-alternating-with-Meav CW concert. Man, these deserted island rules are tough, huh?

Hi Everyone, to get down to ten wasn't easy and some had to be rejected. The ten to survive in no particular order.... 1) May it be. 2) River of Dreams. 3) I Dreamed a Dream. 4) Across the Universe of Time. 5) Bright Eyes. 6) Never say Goodbye. 7) What you Never Know. 8) Who Painted the Moon Black. 9) Both Sides Now. 10) Morning has Broken. Pity we have gone Metric, 12 would have been easier Graham

Hayley also preformed it at Ulysseus Irish pub in New York. Let's just say there is a recording of it, cause I want it!!!!

Wuthering Heights (must be from the US version of Pure!) Hello Roger, I'm intrigued by your above comment. What makes this version so special? Is it different from the UK version of Pure? Love, Stephany

Is the US version the same as the one in the "WH Mini Album'?

Hi Stephany,
I don't think it is a different recording of Wuthering Heights on the US version of Pure but it is certainly a different mix. It is more dynamic, especially in the percussion which IMO suits the song better. I can't detect any difference in the vocal.
Hi tinmeigut,
It is very difficult to be sure but I think the US version is the same as the one on the Mini Album.

Well if the vocal is the same and only the mix is different, then probably there're three versions of Wuthering Heights. The one in the Mini Album is apparently faster and Hayley's voice is different.

Hi tinmeigut, I don't believe the version on the mini album is faster than that on the US version of Pure. Both tracks last for exactly the same time - 3.40. I am less about a difference in Hayley's voice. If there is a difference, I can't detect it. Roger

Hi All The New Zealand Release of Pure has a Wuthering Heights with a time of 4:11 seconds The Mini Album Wuthering Heights UCCL 1080 (475 601-9) version is only 3:42
I listened to both of them at the same time this morning.
The vocal does remain synchronized throughout both.
The drums are louder and clearer on the mini album
The extra 19 seconds on the NZ Release 475 160-2 DH is just an extended orchestral outro.
The Special Asian Edition 2CD 475623-1 has Wuthering Heights at 4:14 seconds Disc No. 473300-2R
