The New Zealand Release of Pure has a Wuthering Heights with a time of 4:11 seconds The Mini Album Wuthering Heights UCCL 1080 (475 601-9) version is only 3:42 Thanks Paul. I think you have just proved that the heights are wuthering more than we thought! Roger

Hi tinmeigut, I don't believe the version on the mini album is faster than that on the US version of Pure. Both tracks last for exactly the same time - 3.40. I am less about a difference in Hayley's voice. If there is a difference, I can't detect it. Roger Ohh... I'm confused. I think the WH in the International Version of Pure that I have lasts for 4:14. The WH in the Mini Album lasts for, as Roger you have said, 3:40. When we get to compare the vocal of the WH of Pure (International) and the WH of the Mini Album, we should be able to detect a change in Hayley's singing style: if I'm right Hayley sounded more like Kate Bush's in the Mini Album. So at least the WH (Pure International) and the WH (Mini Album) are different, no? As for the US version I haven't heard of it before... So it would be good if someone may explain a little bit more.

P.S. North America is deserted we don't get Hayley here. Hello all, I personally have no issue at all with the amount of time Hayley has spent in the US - she has done two substantial tours - as an opener for Il Divo and a member of Celtic Woman - here and dozens of other appearances. One might wish that the work she has done had more impact, but it wasnt for lack of effort. Jon

Hi Stephany, I don't think it is a different recording of Wuthering Heights on the US version of Pure but it is certainly a different mix. It is more dynamic, especially in the percussion which IMO suits the song better. I can't detect any difference in the vocal. Hi tinmeigut, It is very difficult to be sure but I think the US version is the same as the one on the Mini Album. Roger For what its worth, the original version of WH by Kate Bush is often classified as "progressive rock" - I could be wrong, but I have always felt that the mix on Hayley's US version came closer to capturing that feeling Jon

This is really hard and I've been thinking about it for weeks. Trouble is, my favorite Hayley song tends to be the last one I heard! But I will have a go "in no particular order" as they say on talent shows
1 Pokarekare Ana. The fist song I ever heard Hayley sing, and the one that had me fighting tears and made me a fan within a few seconds.
2. Listen to the Wind. Probably my current favourite, (but it IS the last one I heard earlier today), and one of the best examples of Hayley's new improved interpretation of songs.
3. A Boy like that/I have a Love - Sorry, this is two tracks, but they go together. Another fine example of Hayley getting strong emotion into her songs.
4. Sonny. Yet another emotional song - an absolute must for the island.
5. May it be. My favourite song from Odyssey, but I like the version on Prayer even more.
6. One Fine Day. I would need an operatic song, and this is a wonderful example (and once again emotional if you know Madame Butterfly)
7. Summer Rain. Hayley's own composition, with a great arrangement.
8. Abide with me. Gorgeous a capalla singing, which I wish continued for the whole song.
9. O Holy Night. I don't believe she has recorded this, but I have seen videos of it on HWI, and it is wonderful. Nothing in the rules says it has to be on an album, does it?
10. Le Notte del Silenzio. Another fine Hayley composition that I love.
It was hard to leave out Bridal Ballad, I'm Kissing You, Summer Fly, Laschia, Babbino, Dark Waltz, Heaven, The Mists of Islay, You are water, Benedictus. That's ten more. Impossible isn't it?
