Hi Richard, When I mentioned 'wisdom', I really should have used a much stronger word. 'Guru' is the best I can think of now! I marvel at your vast knowledge. Thank you for the info - so fast on the draw also. What name for a wise guru who is so fast? My daughter will be delighted that she recognised the air immediately. Will we have the pleasure of meeting you in the NCH on Wednesday? Very best regards, Paddy Hello again Paddy! I just searched for the hymn title in Google and found the link with 'Pokarekare Ana' almost immediately! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSadly I won't be going to Hayley's concert in Dublin, but I hope you and Comet have a great time and I'm looking forward to reading your reports. Perhaps I'll meet you at a concert in London one day. Best Wishes, Richard

Haha I was sent 1966 to 1972 to Donegal two months each year. Did not learn much Irish either but it is amazing how things learned or heard so long ago stay in the recesses of your mind. For other readers a Gaelteacht is a summer camp to learn the Irish language. For some of us it did not work very well, but it was great fun I would love to hear Hayley sing "Fear an bhata" (Man of the oars or boatman) just to stay on topic........... comet

Hi comet,
You seem to have remembered the 'h', so I'd say you're being modest about your Irish.
I'd love to hear Hayley sing 'Mo Ghiolla Mear' on her own. It's on the 'A New Journey' DVD. Lovely air and great lyrics, especially when sung in English, I think. Maybe you'll teach her some of that Irish.
Do you sing or play yourself? I regret that I do neither!
Paddy
