I was just thinking about that contemp. Chr. song that was composed by an musician named Michael Card but was made more famous by Amy Grant..... " El Shaddai " It's a beautiful little song with a wonderful message.

Hey, yeah, I've thought of that one, too! Great minds think alike! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif LOL I didn't mention it though, because it might seem "too religious". I mean, she's done hymns before, and then she did the song Majesty, but she only put it on the NZ version of River of Dreams, so there have been some hesitancy by the record company to release it internationally. That's silly, though, because most of us here seem to like it; I only remember one person who was very offended by it, and I've rarely seen much of him since then! That was 4 years ago too (yes, I remember his username)! But yeah, I think she would sound amazing singing it, and would sound so much better than Amy Grant (duh!). Not that Amy Grant didn't sing it well, but obviously Hayley's voice is way better.

What does everyone think of "The Desert Song's" title song as a suggestion?
Or The Sheik Of Araby?

At the present moment , Hayley might've become ALREADY "Too Old" to be Princess Jasmine , & yet , with reference to your previous suggestion , "Not Old & Not Mature Enough" to be "The Enchantress" . LOL ........... Chungie

Some producers can be a little cautious. `But I think that for the most part, CC and classical are usually enjoyed or at least tolerated together. (with that exception you mentioned) But I like how Hayley stays true to her roots.

Speaking of duets, there are some gentleman I have in mind for Hayley to sing with someday (as does Hayley herself). Those include Josh Groban and Michael Buble. For those of you who are fans of either or both of these guys, what songs do you think they would sound good singing together? Should they sing an existing song, or should they sing a new song altogether? Of course, I would want the song to be on one or both of their albums, but a live performance would be great, too. Any ideas? I don't know very many songs that are good for duets, particularly in Michael's genre. If you are not a fan of them, please don't bother to comment, thank you.

Who WOULDN'T be a fan of Michael and Josh?! Michael does a lot of Sinatra stuff. I think his "I've Got A Crush On You" would be quite good with Michael & Hayley. That OR a completely original song, which could be even better!! What if they wrote it together? Ok, now I'm just thinking crazy. :je Still, Michael & Hayley writing together sounds awesome. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

That was 4 years ago too It is quite difficult to avoid discussing spirituality or religion when discussing Hayley's discography. Abide with Me Amazing Grace Amazing Grace (Short Version) Ave Maria (Bach/Gounod) Ave Maria (Caccini) Ave Maria (Schubert) Benedictus Carol of the Bells Corpus Christi Carol Down to the River to Pray - Thanks Jim E For the Fallen Gabriels Message Heaven I Am A Thousand Winds I Say Grace I'll Make Music J K Laudate Dominum Majesty Mary Did You Know Morning Has Broken N On the Wings of Time Peace Shall Come Per Natale (L'Esprit de Noel) Pie Jesu Prayer Quanta Qualia R Silent Night The Coventry Carol The Heart Worships The Little Drummer Boy The Little Road to Bethlehem The Peace Song U Veni Veni Emmanuel Whispering Hope X You'll Never Walk Alone Z 8 letters left out of 26 So here's a couple of songs I would love to hear her do, especially when her fans are sitting in the cold and wet at one of her outdoor concerts, Both very spiritual and uplifting, deep and meaningful, profound perhaps . Mahna Mahna...mOr this one to warm you up

Hi Paul,
You could add "Down to the River to Pray". It is part of the Spiritual Medley on her Live from New Zealand DVD.

We were talking about songs that Hayley does that might be too old for her, but "My Way" would be beyond the pale! Actually, "Come Fly with Me" might be appropriate!! Martin D Martin D

When it comes to Duet Partner(s) , may I suggest someone that is a bit , Atypical & UN-conventional ............... & please also bear in mind that Duet Partner(s) does NOT have to be "Of the Opposite Sex" , that "Partner" , in Hayley's case , can be a female singer. The person that I was thinking about happened to be ............ Bjork , the Icelandic Super-Alternative-PopRock Diva . I understand that THIS idea might sound crazy to some people , & many more would consider Bjork having "a very weird personality" . But I just have to say that the Icelandic lady is **DAMN** talented ! If ever Hayley could be given the opportunity to perform together with Bjork , not just in terms of "Singing" & "Recording a song or two" , but also in the sense of "Co-Writing songs & Co-Creating new artistic works" with HER , that final finished product might , turn out to be an absolute Mind-Blower . & ......... I was also kind of "Imagining" that , somehow I feel that the 2 Countries of Iceland & New Zealand seem to me , that they were almost like a pair of Twin Sisters that got scattered & separated on the 2 extreme ends , in terms of geographical location , on Planet Earth . AND this , kind of made me start having that type of "Global Music Odyssey" idea spinning in my mind . ............ well, but anyway , THAT's just some of the "Stuff" that randomly spring to my mind ................ Regards Chungie

Martin, Taylor was talking about Michael Buble doing Sinatra songs, not Hayley singing with him. Chungie, you're right, a potential duet partner wouldn't have to be a man, but the 2 I mentioned are at the top of my list (and I know Michael is at or near the top of Hayley's "wish" list; and when asked, she said she would also like to do it with Josh, too, if it worked out). Anyone have ideas for Josh and Hayley? Now that Hayley has a more powerful voice, we don't have to worry about Josh overpowering her as much. Taylor, I can name at least one person here who is not crazy about Josh. His name starts with M.
