It DOES take quite a number of years for Hayley to "Become" as old as Dame Emma ... I misread that as Dame Edna! Richard

The actor who does that is playing the Goblin King in the Hobbit!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif And no, the Goblin king does not wear a pink wig! And yes, he is male.

Hi Chungchunglee Dame Edna Everage is in fact an Australian comedian. The sort you either love or hate. Now, back on topic! Martin Oh ! Thank you ! I didn't know that . Anyway ............. Another song that comes up to my mind would be the song <Set Me Free> , originally performed by another "Popera" soprano Isgaard , who is from Germany. I have ALWAYS LOVED Isgaard . She is SOOOOOOOOooooo talented & has SOOOOOOOooooo much passion for her art & ......... she basically is just another AMAZING human being whom , Hayley herself would probably admire & that feeling of admiration would probably be mutual between the two. ........... but sadly , she failed to attain the SAME level of success Career-Wise as our girl Hayley did . As for Isgaard's style , she basically is (Classical Operatic + Gothic Rock + Electronic) , I guess . Her songs are all very creative & has a very "Atmospheric" edge to it . & most of her materials are ORIGINAL , & are usually about themes such as "Environmental Protection" , "Fighting for the goals of Humanitarianism" etc. the other 2 songs that are , I.M.H.O. , Simply Gorgeous , would be <Golden Key> & <Dreams will Never Die> . Yeah, there's the "everyone does that" factor. How about "Habanera?" Or "The Downeaster "Alexa" by Billy Joel?

I can't imagine Hayley singing Habanera. I don't think it is a song for an angel, do you?

I DO remember that Charlotte Church has done that for "Enchantment" . sounded & looked Rather Slutty & Trashy , actually .......... ) But ......... For an Angel , Ummmmm .............. I guess .......... IF , Hayley would like to do something taken from the "More Operatic" side of the CC universe , maybe ............ How about , the very ethereal piece <Clair de Lune> , originally composed by Debussy , with the Vocalized , singing version originally performed by "OperaBabes" (Karen & Rebecca , namely.)

Actually Katherine Jenkins did a good job on Habanera.
And Hayley was superb on O Mio Babbino Caro and One Fine Day. Oh, and Barcarolle.

How about The Downeaster Alexa? Or is that too much of a male song?

Martin D I guess , Katherine pulled that Aria off in a very CLASSY fashion . & ........... Martin , now that you've mentioned the Duet Barcarolle (performed together with Dame Melvina Major , I assumed) , something else sprung to my mind , too . How about the song , If Music Be the Food of Love ? .......... & also a Duet , if ever made possible , together with renowned German Counter-Tenor Andreas Scholl , on the Aria "Stabat Mater" , composed by Giovanni Pergolesi ? Habanera fits KJ's type of voice; meaning operatic singers. True, Hayley sang O Mio Babbion Caro without sounding operatic (not to me, anyway), but I can't imagine Habanera sung without that operatic, diva-ish style. Hayley is no diva, and I can't imagine her singing it. It also stays in a pretty high range. I'm not saying Hayley couldn't sing it, I just don't think it would be right for her, or her for the song. Sorry.

Really? Habanera is high? I can sing it although I don't sound right. "She's Got A Way"? And I think I might think she'd sound good singing it because I sing it and not to brag, but I sound good doing it (and I'm unmistakeably a woman). I'll post a recording on my singing thread.
