Yes, but she's been constantly compared to Charlotte Church, especially when she first became famous, and in her book, she admits to getting tired of the comparison.

Hi all, Plasir D`armour with the English lyrics would be just right for Hayley . Either Your Eyes Kissed Mine or if I`m not mistaken there is a version "and i will love you forever until all our dreams come true".I have tried an internet search for this but could find nothing. No doubt another member will know it?.

I don't know that song, but I think if she sings a French song sometime, it should actually be in French. She's never recorded a song in French before, to name just one reason.

Hi LIbby, I will settle for half English and half French. Stephen Even Edith Piaf did many songs half and half There is also a full album in English by Edith doing the rounds. I have never heard Plasir D`armour done in English, Nor have I ever heard English words set to the same tune.. Some sentiments just get lost in the translation..

Half would be okay with me, I won't know the difference... other than that I'll be able to understand only half. Something like she did with Now is the Hour is fine.

In fact, almost any popular Mary Hopkin song, all the way back to: Those Were The Days (thanks for prompting the idea, Richard). www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNVit7cesj8That's a Lennon & McCartney composition. Hmmmm, Hayley sings The Beatles, now there's an idea for Bandana! Dave

Hi all, A good version also on You Tube by Judith Durham.Again half sung in English as My Love Loves Me.I can only think the other lyrics given by me above were just something I made up to sing with the song when I was very young.

Stephen. I think the song you're referring to, is 'A Maid in Bedlam.' I sang it with one of my state choirs about 4/5 years ago. ~Paige devotedfan xxx

The slow, non disco version of
Once Upon a Time
by
Donna Summer
quite difficult to find, It was on the B side of one of the 7 inch singles
Rock Lady61 has a version on YouTube.

Beautiful lyrics..
Donna Summer (Theme) Once Upon a Time Lyrics: (Voice monologue over "Once Upon A Time" instrumental)
Once upon a time, there was a girl she lived in the land of never-never where everything real is unreal and only fairy tales come true something like me and you
But she believed that what she dreamed of could be real so she strived on to make it come true fighting odds, not knowing what would come of her never giving up the hope within her
She carried on and on, because she believed that once, once in a time in her lifetime the things so unreal would be real
And in the morning, one day when she awoke to find herself surrounded by the same old room she was disappointed
So she dreamed and she dreamed and she dreamed and she dreamed and she dreamed and she said that fairy tales do come true 'cause I believe, I believe
And she kept trying, and she kept right on fighting till one day she met a man who held her tight and she fell in love
Once upon a time, in the land of never-never where all things real are unreal there lived a girl who believed that all things could be possible
And one day she did awake and found herself somewhere else beside her a brand new face of someone that she loved

Hi Libby, I looked through about 60 versions of this song on YouTube to find the slow version.. The images that accompany the song (on RockLady61's) may not be to everyone's high moral standards. They don't bother me in the slightest. Women are beautiful to men for a reason : so the species won't die out The version that breaks into disco music about two minutes in was by far the most popular version, Donna Summer's main market was Dance / Disco. So having trawled through so many versions, I was just glad to have found the song I was referring to. The video images are irrelevant.
