This one is way out there, but I'd love to hear her in a duet with Giuseppe Festa, singing "The Ent and the Ent-Wife." I've heard his version of just the male part (he refers to the song as "Fangorn Forest"), and it's rather nice.

I'll quote this post from a duplicate thread which I've locked. I think Hayley would be wonderful singing:
I Will Always Love You My Heart Will Go On (and I know Hayley doesn't really sing those kind of songs but anyway...)
Have you got any suggestions?
Take care, Katie

Hi Katie,
I wouldnt suggest that Hayley perform either song because they have been over done - but there is no reason they wouldnt fit into her current repertoire.

I think she could do very well on both those songs, but she would be subject to comparison to Whitney Houston and Celine Dion. I think Hayley has more strength in her voice now to do the first one beautifully. But I hope she doesn't.

We sang a hymn in church this morning called "A Touching Place", and whilst we were singing it occurred to me that it is one that Hayley could make very beautiful.
To the lost Christ shows his face; to the unloved He gives His embrace; to those who cry in pain or disgrace, Christ, makes, with His friends, a touching place.
The lyric seems appropriate for Hayley too.

Of course it's not as powerful, but it's softer and prettier, which is more like Hayley's style. But again, I'm not so sure this song would be the best choice; she really should stay away from over-popular songs like these. That does sound like a nice hymn, martin.

Hi All,
I'd like to hear Hayley do "Secret Love". It's from the old musical "Calamity Jane" sung by Doris Day. It was popular in the U S in the fifties. It hasn't been done for so long that it would sound new again. I think it fits Hayley's style of singing very well. Only oldsters like me would even recognize it. It's on you tube so take a listen an let me know what you think.

After hearing a clip of Hayley singing "Majesty" (and loving it!) it hit me like a load of bricks that much of Sandi Patty's early repertoire would be perfect for Hayley! As I'm going back and listening to some of the songs, I can't believe that the similarities between their voices and even phrasing never struck me before. There are huge "powerhouse" (high soprano powerhouse!) ballads such as "We Shall Behold Him," (which would really let Hayley show off her range, with its ending high D!) "Upon This Rock," and "They Could Not." There are tender (but still powerful) ballads such as "Shepherd of My Heart," "Because of Who You Are," and more. There are a few such as "Hosanna," "Via Dolorosa," and "Love in Any Language" that I'd like to include in my own repertoire someday, so I don't know if I'm unselfish enough to recommend them to Hayley... haha! But my number one choice for Hayley out of Sandi's songbook would be the Michael W. Smith penned "How Majestic is Your Name." Oh, Hayley could go to town on that one! PS- We young people are aware of "Secret Love," too. In fact, "Calamity Jane" was one of the very first musicals I saw as a very young child. Although I confess I was more enamoured with Howard Keel than aware of Doris Day's talent.

Hi Chantelle,
Well Howard was quite a handsome gent, so I understand your interest. But, what I'd like to know is do you think the song fits Hayley's style? Watch it again on you tube so you won't be distracted by Howard.

Chantelle, where did you hear a clip of "Majesty"? If you have a link, please share it! Via Dolorosa would be a great song for Hayley to do! To me, that would be the best choice out of Sandi Patty's songs. I don't know many of the other songs. Love in any Language is a little boring to me, but Hayley could certainly do well with it. I think El Shaddai or Thy Word by Amy Grant would be good ones for Hayley, too.
