It was nice to see Peter and Mariannek at the chat for the first time. And Scott and SteveM. I said that The Snowman had lost its magic but if its on this Christmas, I'll probably end up watching it! And can somebody get it into my head that when someone mentions 'OZ' they could be talking about Australia and not about 'The Wizard Of Oz'. Mariannek must think I'm a wally! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hi, all chatroomers & potential customers.... I had my first chatroom experience ..... nobody was going to shift me out of my chair and off the site!!! I absolutely had a blast chatting with fans who I only know by posts & pics..... we could have been sitting around a table in someone's kitchen!! (certainly would have been the right place for Peter.. no offence, Peter!!) Love Marianne Of course no offence taken. My kitchen table is too small for so many :-[and in fact my plate was on my writing desk in front of the laptop! While prawn cocktail followed by curry may not be to everyone's liking (especially Hayley's) I am sure they would have been happy to have a glass of Pinot Grigiot or my Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine would have gone round, I keep a wine-rack downstairs which is half a hotel bin rack. A friend found it in a sale and although he had a manor house at the time where it would have fitted, he is not a great wine drinker, so we split it in half. Each half holds four and a half cases--not that mine is ever that full It doesn't stay there long enough! Peter S. Hi, Peter Thanks!! I would have gladly shared a glass (or Bottle ??) of wine with you!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifJust learned that the chatroom was your first experience as well!! What a blast!!! Make sure you can be there next time as well!!! Love Marianne

Well, put simply a 'silly person'! In OZ you would probably use 'galar' or'muppet' (then maybe I just watch too much Home and Away!! Best wishes Grant

As i understand it, he was trying to think of a name for his fairyland and was in the office staring blindly at at a filing cabinet. He noticed the way the drawers were labelled alphabetically. The bottom drawer was marked O-Z.. Hence OZ. Peter S.

But I have never heard of "galar" or "muppet " !! Then again I don't watch Home & Away!!! I have heard people call each other "Mullet".... Graeme only knows impolite forms of address!!!! "Dill"comes to mind as well!! How unkind we are to one another!! By the way, Jon I do not think you are a wally !!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifLove, Marianne

Hi Folks. I've been watching Home and Away since Don Fischer first frightened 5 year old Sally I think it started over here in Ireland around 1984. Before that there was The Sullivans and "A country practice" Blokes eh ! What about " WALLY PLONKER " as Delboy's favourite insult. I once had a Reliant TW9E three wheel van, things have improved a little since then thank god, I have a bicycle now :je It's far more reliable than the Reliant. There was 22,000 miles on the clock when it went to the scrapyard, I think we pushed it about 21,0000 of them, I don't miss it that much. I reckon I've gone off topic on this one by now.

Hello Comet! I'll forgive you for going off-topic if you post an MP3 of you singing "Three Wheels On My Wagon"! Let the punishment fit the crime, I say! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

Hi Jon,
I edited your post as discretely as possible in a way that I deemed necessary in order to maintain the family values of this forum. As you have brought it to everyone's attention, I will respond in public.
I never suggested that you were "distateful". I merely pointed out in a PM that a couple of your words might have offended some of our members. It would have been irresponsible of me to allow that to happen.
As I said in that PM, any remarks which I (or any of the Moderators) consider distasteful shall be removed, no matter who makes them.
I trust this clarifies the situation.
Roger
