I just looked in my CD collection, and there are 3 from Mike Oldfield,Elements(best of)TresLunas and The songs of distant Earth.The last one, i think is the best!!! When Music ot the spheres is in the shop, i will go there immidiatly and buy one.

Tesco are now listing this (under Hayley's albums) with a release date of 19th November although HMV still quotes 21st January.

As "On My Heart" is about to be released on the No.1 Classical Album 2008, perhaps the release has been brought forward in time for Christmas.

The album gets better with every play. It would surely reach No. 1 in the classical charts (for Christmas) if it was classified as classical which Mike Oldfield believes that it is.

Dave - how do you classify classical?

All the major music stores are listing the 21 January 2008 release date so I suspect that it is maintained as such. I'm not saying that Tesco's website is not relevant but.....yea.

It's on 'The No 1 Classical Album 2008' digital version CD.

Just downloaded "On My Heart" from 7 digital.

I don't really get why she's not the artist I'm afraid !! No mention of her on the track title. Just Mike Oldfield. Odd.

The "renowned" Hayley Westenra is well said & true.

Beautiful, lovely, stunning, memorable, exquisite.....need I go on? Applies both to the song & the music incidentally.

it is just the same on the CD. Track listing inside says "Written By Mike Oldfield".

You have to search the details to find:

Lead Vocals supplied by Hayley Westenra on tracks 7 & 10. Hayley Westenra appears courtesy of Decca Music Group Ltd.

Track 7 is "On My Heart" (02:26)
Track 10 is "On My Heart Reprise" (01:16)

According to John Brunning last night, there will be a feature on Mike Oldfield's 'Music of the Spheres' during Classic FM's Newsnight this evening, Friday 7th December 2007. The programme begins at 6:30pm, but the feature will probably be after 6:50pm. I'll be listening.
