Thats Really Awsome graemek........................... Im glad Hayley had to opportunity to see it and Sign it! Thanks Umbobo. According to Thomas Hayley gave her "thumbs up" to it saying something like 'thats how it should have looked'. She has a copy now too....If she takes it to Decca I may have at least a $12 contract. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifGraeme

Hi , My CD has recently arrived and I am just listening to the last track. this is the second time I have played it fully. Very restful and enjoyable, On My Heart, reminded me in some respect of Hayley's haunting theme to Flood. Yes I can see why it brings on 'goosebumps' Martin !!
Best Wishes,
Graham

Hello everybody! If you haven't bought the album yet, John Brunning will be playing 'Music of the Spheres' in full on Classic FM this evening, Tuesday 15th July 2008, between 9:00pm and midnight British Summer Time. Richard Oh my goodness, I can't recall any radio station playing a major "pop chart" album complete, so soon after its release, since John Peel played Elton John's "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy" waaaaaayyyyyy back over 30 years ago!!! I have the album (well both of them ) but I'll certainly be listening to tonight's 'performance'. Thanks Richard, Fantastic! Coincidentally ( **calling Stephany!**) I listened to John Brunning's programme last night, it's called The Full Works. And what did i hear? None other than the great Placido Domingo singing "The Marseillaise" and it was absolutely stunning - it was the best performance of The Marseillaise that I have ever heard - if you don't have this Stephany, you must get it! Cheers, Dave

Thanks Richard. I still don't have the full album 'Music of the Spheres' so it will certainly be worth a listen. Very interesting, Dave. Thank you for informing me about this. I have a splendid recording of 'The Marsellaise' by the excellent French tenor Roberto Alagna and I'm curious to compare it to Placido Domingo's version. [*Goes to the website*] EDIT: I've got to say, I'm very impressed! Mr Domingo nearly doesn't have an accent when he sings in French. I think I even prefer his cover of 'The Marseillaise' to Alagna's. It's a very uplifting version of the French National Anthem (yes, I did sing along during a couple of verses!). Thanks again Dave! Cheers, Stephany

Hi Stephany, I thought you'd like it! Even though it's: Soloist: - Placido Domingo Conductor: - Daniel Barenboim Orchestra/Ensemble: - Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Chorus so not bad I guess, for a "foreign" production. Certainly, this is one of the most stirring National Anthems in the World - it nearly had me marching too until I remembered that I was driving my car at the time Of course, Placido Domingo is a brilliant Spanish Opera singer and guess where the "live" version of Music of the Spheres was recorded? It was in Spain of course... yay, back on topic! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI wonder if they will play the album or the "live" version? Cheers, Dave

I just purchased this album and oh my goodness...I think it is one of my favorite albums ever. It's just so beautiful and it really takes me on an odyssey. I am at a loss for words...
Wow.

I have to agree with you Caitlin. It's one of the more finer classical albums (modern classical albums) I've ever heard, and it is superbly put together. I think you hit the nail when you said it takes you on an odyssey, because I felt the same way. I really felt like it created a world of its own, and I believe only the best of musicians can achieve that.

Hi All,
I received an email yesterday promoting a new double album "Limited Edition" version of Music of the Spheres. Disc 1 is the same as the standard one. Disc 2 is a recording of the "Live at the Guggenheim" performance that took place on 7th March 2008 in Bilbao, ans of course involved Hayley.
It says that this includes a guest appearance by "the divine Hayley Westenra". Now I've heard her called a princess, even an angel, but a goddess?

I think Grant has been very fortunate in his dealings as I do not recall him ever posting details of any problems. Peter S.
