Thanks Emil, the guys at tubular.net were saying how well Hayley performed at the Concert - I'm now considering getting this download at some point but it will cost £1.58 for hayley's two contributions which last only 3m 34s in total. Not surpisingly, the most popular download is Musica Universalis which lasts 6m 24s for the only 79p. Crazy pricing by iTunes (but this is definitely an album to buy in total not in pieces). Regarding the CD itself, for anyone who has so far been unable to obtain it - as was mentioned earlier, there was a neat bit of marketing by Decca to be seen when opening the CD case for the first time... very neat! Here is what you see: How cool is that? Cheers, Dave

To anyone who loves the album I recommend to download the live version of the Bilbao concert from Itunes. It's fantastic and I really hope to see the show in tour, with Hayley obviously ^^ Emil Hello Emil, Is there the single track of On My Heart available on ITunes?? Dori

Your post 135, Dave. I'm delighted at last that Decca have started promoting Hayley this way. I have been pretty put out when I have seen ads for others slipped in to a Hayley CD instead of another Hayley album promo. However, I suppose this is a matter of 'working the shelves' and these promo things are planned several CDs ahead.

Both the album version and the Bilbao's concert version of On My Heart and On My Heart reprise are avaliable for download on iTunes. But like Dave said, it's an album to hear and buy in total, not in pieces. It's a lot different to listen On My Heart as a single instead of the album context. The feelings are truly different Emil

How cool is that? Cheers, Dave Hi Dave, Too bad my back cover of the booklet is black. No Hayley images.. I suppose it's because Hayley is almost unknown here. Emil

Hi Emil, What you see when you open the CD case is a single page advert for Hayley and Treasure, inserted after the booklet so it must have been specially printed for the UK market (it mentions classicsandjazz.co.uk). I assume that Decca expect Hayley to get a significant number of extra sales from this but they will need to get Treasure back into the shops first - at the moment, it is nowhere to be seen outside HMV and Zavvi - and online. The back page of the actual booklet (under Hayley's advert) is an advert for three ringtones - and one of them is... On My Heart! Now, onto the chart news! Todays "midweek" sales chart based on Monday's UK sales has Music of the Spheres at no. 6. and that is very good news, for several reasons. - Three of the five albums above it are also new releases, it is a very big week for new releases this week. - At least two of the big three supermarkets have it at no. 10 or lower (I don't know about Tesco) so it's doing better than they thought - The only other old-timer to release this week, Van Morrison, has been consistently above Mike Oldfield in the Amazon prerelease charts but he is well below Mike in this first midweek chart, at no. 11. - This is "Easter Week" and sales will be very high this week. So come on everyone, if you haven't yet bought it... buy it now and let's push it higher up the chart as the week progresses! Cheers, Dave

Well, I have listened to it once so far. Those who criticise Mike Oldfield for endlessly recycling Tubular Bells will find plenty to moan about here, but IMO it is a new slant and worth getting for that reason. Also there a places where the influence of Karl Jenkins shines through, especially a couple of choral interludes. Hayley's contributions are beautiful even if they are much too short, and are worth the price of the album alone. I put this up against another piano heavy artist with a female lead that I though might be comparable, Renaissance. I would say that MOTS sounds much smoother and more professional, and of course Annie Haslam to my ears sings a bit flat and doesn't have Hayley's pitch perfect rendition. Although these is more going on on the Renaissance recordings.

Hi Emil, ... The back page of the actual booklet (under Hayley's advert) is an advert for three ringtones - and one of them is... On My Heart! ... Yes, on only one hearing I would think Hayley's song would make a very good ring tone. Peter S.

Your 144 post Graeme very well done indeed. Most professional. Shows you can have the 'advantage' of downloads and the pretty jewel case. However, what about the booklet and the lyrics etc By the by--and be wary not to go off topic! Why are they called jewel cases? I can't see them as being any use for keeping jewels. Anyone know?
