I agree with Alena. Hayley's part in the duet is dispointingly small, but the album is officially number one on the Greek charts and will give Hayley some more exposure in Europe.

I'm listening to it right now. Hayley sounds wonderful on those really high notes, of course, but otherwise I don't like it. It's not a very pleasant song; a little too operatic for me. I love Hayley's and Josh Groban's classical pieces, but, aside from their amazing voices, the songs are very pleasant, or moving, to listen to. Even if Josh Groban were singing this song, I don't think I'd like it. I'm not a fan of real opera songs like this. I don't like regular opera voices like Mario's. I can only tolerate Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli. Their voices are more pleasant, natural, and amazing; not harsh like other male opera singers. I am very disappointed that the "great male vocalists" doesn't include Josh Groban. Of course the other one is Russell Watson in Time to Say Goodbye, isn't it? Maybe they'll sing together for Josh Groban's next album. That would be good for Hayley's career!

Interesting to compare Hayley's lyrics with Mario's.Santa Lucia as sung by Hayley Westenra Sul mare luccica l'astro d'argento Placida è l'onda prospero il vento; Sul mare luccica l'astro d'argento Placida è l'onda prospero il vento; Venite all'agile barchetta mia; Santa Lucia! Santa Lucia! Venite all'agile barchetta mia; Santa Lucia! Santa Lucia! O dolce Napoli, O suol beato, Ove sorridere volle il creato, O dolce Napoli, O suol beato, Ove sorridere volle il creato, Venite all'agile barchetta mia; Santa Lucia! Santa Lucia! Venite all'agile barchetta mia; Santa Lucia! Santa Lucia! Graeme

I agree that Hayley is underutilized in this duet. I still like the way she progresses from background to foreground but still, she wasn't give her own space. Made me think : why invite somebody to duet if you just want to hear your own voice. (particularly somebody like Hayley) Graeme
