I considered ordering this CD as the link takes you to either HMV Japan or Amazon Japan (it is possible to get by without the Japanese language installed on your PC)
The cost without tax is 2382.00 Yen which equates to £10.23 Sterling at an exchange rate of 232.79 Yen/£1
BUT
Standard delivery (3-4 weeks!!) is 900 Yen (£3.87)
Express delivery (3-5 days) is 3000 Yen (£12.88)
So I think I will wait a while to see if it appears on Amazon.uk or Amazon.com.

Update on my last post.
I should have looked at Amazon.com first!!
As they are showing this CD but as available from 30/01/07!!
There is no picture or track listing and it is priced at just under $30.
MORE INTERESTING is the listing of an album entitled "Eternal" available from 01/03/07. Again no track listing or picture.
Anyone any ideas?

I love the song Time to Say Goodbye. Actually, Cathleen, you may have hot on something big there. I hadn't fully studied the tracklisting that Anna posted. As Raymond says, 'Time To Say Goodbye' *may* be a new recording. If it is, I wonder if it may appear on the new CD. That is purely conjecture for I do not know anything! If it isn't, it could be even more interesting because, as far as I know, the only existing recording of this song by Hayley is from her demo disc 'Walking In The Air', recorded when she was 12! Seriously though, we are now entering that exciting period of time that happens every time Hayley is about to release a new album or a new version of an existing album: What's the release date? what's it called? what's the tracklisting? which version of song x or y is it? etc., No doubt all this information will trickle out bit by bit over the next couple of months and I also bet that not all the information published by various media and/or CD shops is accurate! It will be good fun finding out though (or squeezing it out of the powers that be  )  Cheers, Dave PS I've just realised that this thread should be in the main Albums board so I've moved it there... together with a couple of other threads I've just noticed that should be there. |

Couldn't wait any longer!!
I've just ordered this album from Amazon.com at $28.92
(when ordered with the CW DVD including postage comes to £26.00)
Shipping date for both is stated as 30/01/07.

PS: Anna refers to this album as "Amazing Grace - The Best of Hayley Westenra" but I can't see any reference to 'Amazing Grace' on the cover picture.

Hi Grant, the official Japanese site says the title is Amazing Grace so I copied it. Having read your post, I realised there was no title like Amazing Grace! The pre-order pages at Amazon Japan and HMV show the title as Best of Hayley in Japanese. I'm being quite curious too. I guess everything will be clear when we get our own copies! And this fourteenth track Time to Say Good-bye is a new recording. Before the cover and the tracklisting were available, there was a notice about this album and it was said there would be a NEW TRACK on the album. I'm glad it's that song. Everyone just loves it.
