Hi Roger.....the bidder paid sooner than expected through Paypal so I was able to make the donation straight away. I donated $440 (NZ) directly to the Bikes for Ghana campaign through the UNICEF New Zealand website. My Donation number is 1198764167. I understand this will buy 11 bikes for the children. I also read a report on the UNICEF New Zealand website about Hayley's recent visit to Ghana. The report was dated 11th April, this was the date my mum died, so it was very poignant to donate to this campaign. Pics and details of the painting are on my website: www.paulstillwell-art.comMany thanks to you all for your kind words of support Paul

Hi Paul, Well done on the picture, if you ever want to do another one just let me know as I have a few more photo's that will look great on canvas! I am sure that Hayley will not mind signing them if a proportion of the sale price goes to UNICEF. Steve H

Hello Paul!
Congratulations on the successful auction! I'm so glad that the high bidder already transmitted his/her payment, that means the money can be put through straight away.
Those eleven bikes will greatly improve each family of the child in need.
By the way, Paul, your other paintings are simply brilliant! I visited your site; and it's great to read how you have met so many actors!
Thank you again for your generosity on behalf of UNICEF.
Joe

to Steve, Joe, Stephany, Thomas, Roger, thank you all for your lovely compliments and kind words, very much appreciated. Steve, I may well call on your lovely photos for another portrait later in the year! thanks for the offer. Its a great way to help the children and it also helps me get my career started too (the art world is a difficult business!) but its great to be able to help others through my art as well. I may well try and paint some other celebs to help raise money for other charities too. Hope you all have a wonderful year! Paul xx

Hello Paul! It's good to see that your painting is on its way to Australia. If you continue to produce fine paintings like that, your artwork will soon be displayed all over the world. Well done again! Best Wishes, Richard

Hi Paul
Congratulations on the money you raised through the painting. As it's off to Australia I dont suppose many of us will see it again so here are a few pictures taken before it was signed. Here's a photo of the painting itself to savour for the future, Paul.

That's a wonderful painting of Hayley. She must have been extremely flattered, and pleased that part of the proceeds are going to her charity. I found it amusing that in several of the pictures, behind Hayley's head, there's a sign on a door that says 'Toilet'; and the other one said the "lift was out of order". Well, I think it's amusing, anyway.

hi everyone, thanks for your lovely comments, I really appreciate it, I may well do another painting later in the year to help raise more money. Thanks for the great photos Stuart! Well, after a long journey the painting has almost arrived with the buyer!....it was too large to send with ParcelForce UK so I had to send with UPS worldwide couriers. I have been able to track its progress on their website...it was sent to Kentucky USA, then Honalulu Hawaii, then Sydney AUS, now its in Brisbane AUS waiting to be delivered to the buyer in Queensland! thanks again everyone Paul

Hi Paul,
With a journey like that, I'm surprised you didn't go with it! Thanks for the progress report and I hope it arrives at its destination soon.
