Come on folks, the painting is worth much more than that. Richard Hi Richard I wouldn't be too worried yet. The real bidding (when sleeves are rolled up!) won't start until an hour or two before the end. In fact as this will be at 5.00pm on Christmas Day we might see some high bids fuelled by excess Christmas pudding and cheer! Happy Xmas Martin

I spotted it when I saw your post and thought "Huh, Roger isn't reading his own forum!" but when I looked through THIS thread I couldn't find my post. That's because its HERE. Seems Paul may have inadvertantly started two separate threads! Some merging required perhaps? Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant,
Yes, I am aware that Paul started two separate threads. As he has kindly agreed to donate part of the proceeds to UNICEF, I feel that this thread is where we should continue any further discussion. However, not everyone reads every board so I am happy to leave the other one unlocked for the duration of the sale on Ebay.
To my eternal frustration, it is not technically possible to merge threads other than with a series of quotes which I don't really like doing.

Thanks Roger I hadn't spotted that they were in different sections - just got confused ( it doesn't take much! ) when I couldn't find my post in this thread. Night night! Grant

Hello Grant and Roger! I also noticed Paul started two threads, but I felt his painting deserved a place in both sections. Most of the posts have been made in this thread, so we could probably lock the other one eventually, giving a link to this one, but there's no rush. Best Wishes, Richard

Exactly so, Richard. This is one occasion when a duplicate thread could be beneficial to UNICEF but, as you say, we will lock the other thread shortly (perhaps a day or two) after the painting is sold.

Well done Paul, I am sure you are delighted.
Also, that should be £170 for "Bikes for Ghana" - Hayley will be thrilled.
Best wishes Martin

Hi Paul, I think you will probably have read my comments about your painting within the other "PAINTING signed by Hayley" thread within the "Miscellaneous" board, but here are my comments again...

Hi All, as you know the auction went well, it was sold to a bidder in Australia for £510. So the painting will be travelling around the world! As soon as the money is cleared in my account (the bidder will pay on monday and will take 7 days to clear I think) then I will donate £170 to Bikes For Ghana...hopefully I will get an acknowledgement from the charity that I can post as a link on here to show the money went through ok. Thanks again to all of you for your many kind words about my painting and I wish you all a very proseprous 2008 Paul

Incidentally, I have made several small donations to "Bikes For Ghana" and have always had an Email confirmation. Best wishes Grant

Hi Paul,
Many thanks for confirming the exact amount raised and congratulations for achieving it. It is possible that Hayley will see this thread but, once you confirm to us that payment has been received and the donation made, I will ensure that the message reaches her.
Cheers, Roger
