It has now been stated that our man at ProBoards will not be back until sometime this evening West Coast Time. That means the early hours of tomorrow morning BST. And of course, he has a backlog so we may not know any more for 24 hours or so. Roger Hi Roger, Keep bumping up your post on the support forum each day, as I think your query has been overlooked

Hi Joe, The main reason for my follow-up post on Saturday was to bump it but it obviously made no diffrerence. I have now bumped it again and will go on doing so with increasing regularity. Roger

Hi Roger, I hope it is O.K. by early next week as I will not be able to get to a computer this weekend, so I will have a lot of posts to catch up on. Graham Hi, I am back home again and had 150 post to catch up on ! The search option now does not even default back to Jun 14th, it just does not work It took me approx 2 hours last night to try to do it 'Rogers' way and I am still not sure I have caught up with all the posts Hope this is sorted soon Roger ( Did your man at Proboards have a good weekend this time i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif ) Only joking Roger, I know you are doing all you can, Best wishes, Graham

Hi Graham,
The Search button does work exactly as it did before. The difference is that the last post it can find is now more than seven days old. Consequently, you have to adjust the search criteria accordingly.

Hi Graham, No need for that; you are more than welcome to sit down corrected! I appreciate it is no good for last weekend and I am just as frustrated about it as everyone else. Unfortunately, I can do no more than to submit reminders at regular intervals. In my experience, the Last 30 appears to be slightly more reliable now (also no help for last weekend!). Roger

A reply from ProBoards merely asks me to try it again now, implying that they have done something to put it right. The Last 30 appears to be working (someone let me know if it isn't) but the Search button still fails to return anything after 14th June. I have reported that again... again. At least we are slightly better off than we were. Roger

I have now had a response concerning the difficulties with the Search button. He believes he knows what the problem is but it unable to fix it himself. He has promised to forward my report to someone who can but advises that it may take a few days.

Having acknowledged his last message, this is his reply:
At least we know that someone is doing something. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer.

Hi Grant, Don't know if I missed some posts re your 4,000 post but I will use this to say CONGRATULATIONS

I am sure that any connection between your forum activities and the failure of the Search button is purely coincidental! Grant is actually our highest poster ever with the exception of a few people in the Management Team who, for once, will remail nameless! Roger Oops, I'm supposed to remain nameless!

Roger Hi Roger, Well the Search function is completely wrecked at the moment, it won't find anything for me. Last 30 posts doesn't go back far enough for me right now and i can't search back beyond that (well not at all!). What with this, the introduction of the minimum size of search words to four or more and the problems over foreign language posts, to say I'm feeling irritated with Proboards would be putting it mildly. Very mildly. Maybe we should just forget about the search problem for a while and check again in a week or two - it's not worth getting uptight about even if they aren't doing anything about it for weeks (but I can see why you were getting frustrated with them!). Then again, maybe it being wrecked means they have removed it and taken it to the workshop, to fix it! Cheers, Dave

Thank you Roger For some time I've wondered why I retired from work early. It's all becoming very clear now! But then I wouldn't have it any other way - many of my 4000 post have made me some very special friends and yes, I do include Hayley! There's not many other places that one could say that! Best wishes Grant
