Connie has just returned from China, where she performed in a concert to be broadcast on China television on February 4 (Chinese New Year). It is believed that over 600 million people will view the New Year Concert. Connie and her family were interviewed by ITV on Wednesday, and it appeared last night on ITV Central Tonight. Hi Martin, Connie's voice is markedly less "formal" than Jackie's. I've heard Connie sing nearly 30 songs live and her voice is much more easier to digest. Here are two of my favourite performances from the last few months (the second video is from Connie aged 9): www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzzRdX1MuMEwww.youtube.com/watch?v=RJfxPaAHBAUEnjoy, Joe PS Stay tuned as Connie prepares to record a new album soon !

Thanks Joe,
I see she is heading much more towards pop than Jackie. That is different to most others of her age, and it might just work for her.

Indeed, Ross, she has developed quite a lot. She has many recent home-made videos that are really worth seeing. When I first saw her Rolling in the deep, I was surprised by the power and sound of her voice, and the ease with which she sings. There are many other videos on her channel that I would recommend, but just to show another one, in her Someone like you we can see how incredibly fast she is mastering the piano. I also loved this performance of I Will Always Love You, those high notes are just wow. Michal

Wow her voice really has developed since I last listened to her, probably about a year-two years ago when I got her Christmas album, I really like it, and her choice of songs now...I still think her earlier version of I Will Always Love You, I think from the German charity show is still my favourite of her performances...but I also love her latest version of My Heart Will Go On,..It'll be interesting to see how much more her voice develops over the years, I hope she contiues to be really successful in the future...Thanks for posting the video Ross best wishes Sing

Hi all,
I tend not to post in the Other Music threads, but now that Hayley's NZ tour is done I might share a little Connie Talbot news!
Connie has written a song which is available on iTunes. Compsed when she was seven, 'Beautiful World' is a wonderful song. There is an acoustic version available as well.
Connie will be at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield on December 5-6-7, singing with the Irish group the High Kings and the Young Voices schools choir.
Also Connie will be appearing on ITV1's Lorraine Kelly this Tuesday 6th December from 8:30am to 9:25am.
Additional dates have just been booked for Connie and Young Voices: In Manchester at the Evening News Area on 23-24-25 January; and in In London at the O2 Area on 5-6-7-8 March.
Enjoy, Joe
