I would love to see Josh Groban again in concert but unfortunately it's just not feasible for the next year or two :/ Hopefully you'll be able to see him again, Libby!!

Hopefully when the next record comes out Paige! Thank you Libby! Atlanta is a couple hours drive for me. Saw Sarah Brightman at the arena there. And I've seen Stevie Nicks in 2011 in the venue Josh has listed here. Nice venue! I'm also surprised that Josh will have Sarah Mclachlan as a guest artist on this tour!! Love them both! Never thought Josh would be bigger than Sarah! I wonder what that means as far as set list goes too. If they will be shorter or both give a normal 90-100 min. performance each. Alicia

Alicia Great, I'm glad to know this is feasible for you, Alicia. Paige, I'm sorry you won't be able to attend. Oh, and yes, don't worry, unless there's some terrible disaster preventing me from going, I will most definitely be going! I managed to go to Hayley's concert all the way in Madison, so there's not much that can stop me now! The e-mail said she was joining him for select dates, so there's no guarantee of seeing Sarah. I'm guessing it has something to do with the songs being broadway. I'm not aware of her participating in broadway, but then I don't pay attention to her career. I followed her on twitter for a while after the Carnegie hall thing, though, but I found I just wasn't that interested. I just thought of something. Now, I'm not sure Sarah's the most suitable singer for All I Ask of You, but then, who will sing it with him? Unless he just doesn't sing it on tour, I'm guessing there may be someone else. I think on his first US Stages tour, it was the girl who sang it with him at the US open in August. Lena Hall, I think?

Oh, and forgot to mention, Josh's PBS show is supposed to start showing Nov. 28th, so check your local listings. Thank you Libby for the reminder! I did not find it coming on this weekend for SC, but I tried looking for it in the "Programs" section with no luck. Is the show part of like Austin City Limits, Live at the Mets, etc. I will try and keep my eyes open! By the way, in looking for this special, I found that All that Echoes had a special. Did it come out on DVD or something? I completely missed the whole All That Echoes era! Thank you! I looked at Sarah's website and she lists the cities she is guest performing, and it looks like Seattle is not on the list but Atlanta is. Go figure! www.sarahmclachlan.com/events/It also sounds like they are co-headlining the tour on select dates. That's why I asked my set list question. I know Sarah is not a Broadway person, but she has classical voice training as a kid I believe. So she could surprise us and sing them OR Josh just doesn't sing the duets on Stages and does something else in duet form like The Prayer or the Corrs song from his first album. I also know they did a duet of Sarah's song Angel years ago together, so anything really is possible. Here's this clip:

Well, my local station isn't showing it till Dec. 10th. My local station has a link for the TV schedule. It's always shown as one of their "Great Performances", and is usually shown around prime time, so that makes it even easier to sort through. The first day it's on at 7pm, the next day at 9pm. They're also showing Andrea Bocelli's show Cinema every so often. Josh launched his release of ATE in Feb. 2013 at the Lincoln centre in NY. I know they showed it on PBS, but I forgot if they put it on DVD or not. I know they never did anything like that with Illuminations. No PBS show, and no DVD. I was very disappointed about that, especially after the concert in 2011. For a long time, Josh was not a very good live singer, in concert and sometimes on TV, too. His voice just didn't sound as strong, his technique wasn't strong, and his phrasing would be off compared to the albums. But during his Illuminations tour, as well as All That Echoes, he was outstanding. He has improved his live performing significantly, and I was very impressed and pleased about this. I even saw a video back then showing him working with a vocal coach, and I think this must have helped. I don't know whether he did or not before this, but either way, he's definitely improved. I have his first 3 live DVDs, but I never watch the last 2 anymore. His first one was actually really good. His next 2, mediocre. For Josh, of course. LOL Now, with Stages, I think it's hard for him not to sing these well, because these types of songs require his well-trained voice, as opposed to the more contemporary songs where he probably relaxes more. Having said that, I heard him sing Happy Birthday to Robin Roberts on GMA last week, and I thought he over-exaggerated it just a bit, but I'm sure that was on purpose.

I've ordered my tickets for next summer's concert (in the FOJG pre-sale)! August 23, 2016 at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville, WA. I don't know why it went on sale this early, but in order to get good seats, you have to do it right when they go on sale, otherwise you'll be way in the back, and it won't be worth it. I got Row O.

I saw that on Saturday I loved his voice but could not take a manly voice singing "Over the Rainbow". That spoilt it for me. I don't like the way the audience squeal at every action the dancers take.

Matin I find it interesting that Josh just performed in London very recently (at a concert), so I'm wondering why he's going back again next May, and why this time the RAH? Is that a concert just for Josh at the RAH, or is it something with other artists as well? Hmmm... Why can't Seattle see him twice, too? A thought I've had recently about his tours is that, whenever Josh is in NZ (which has only been once in quite a few years), Hayley's not in NZ. If he's in London (like recently), she's not in London! So Hayley never gets to go see him in concert, whether she wants to or not (and I'm sure she'd like to). Oh, well she did see him live at the 2008 CBA, and she spoke to him a bit.

Hi Libby The appearance at the Albert Hall is part of an eight date UK and Ireland tour next May. Martin That's great! I'm thrilled that he'll get to perform his Stages songs at that venue. And to answer your question, Sue, yes, he did get a Grammy nomination for Traditional Pop Vocal. The other nominees aren't very familiar to me, with the exception for Tony Bennett. Think he can beat Tony Bennett? Oh well, maybe he'll get to perform at the Grammy's show. Though he did already perform at the Tony Awards, which makes the most sense.
