Yesterday evening i saw on dutch television The Tv show, presented by Ivo Niehe. This show has many viewers , and Ivo is travelling all around the world, to meet and talk to very well known people. He started his interview in Scotland,Edinburg with J K Rowling, about Harry Potter very interesting. And than it was Paul Potts who was in the show. He was interviewed in AmsterdamConcert Hall. Very interesting with flashbacks from the Britains got talent show. It looks like he is very down to earth too!!!! His Cd One Chance is going up to 16 in Dutch album charts!!!! Greetz JOYCE.

Paul was on the 13th Jose Carreras Leukaemia Benefit concert in Leipzig (Germany) on Thursday (the 13th).
He performed O Holy Night, and I hope to have video coverage of that performance available soon.
The Leukeamia Benefit concert is an annual event, taking place on about the second Thursday in December. Jose Carreras himself suffered from this affliction, and the concert is a highlight on my annual calendar of things to watch ...

My Dad sent me an email this morning saying that there was a video interview of an amazing singer on French TV yesterday evening. It was Paul Potts! The classical music market in France is very tough so I don't know if his CD will be available in my country but it's great to see that he gets some publicity out there. Especially as it was on France's main TV channel and in one of the most popular French shows ( view video)! ....and now I know what to buy to my Dad for Christmas i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifStephany

Paul Potts is certainly going to be massive worldwide. His CD is litterally flying off the shelves in France too. It's available in all major music stores but also in supermarkets which is a very unusual channel of distribution here. Stephany

Hi All, I have just completed digitising the Paul Potts miniconcert. It was a special concert given by Paul in the week before Christmas in Amsterdam. The video is about 22 minutes duration, and about 82 MB. www.classicalrelatedperformances.com/pp/miniconcertamsterdamdec07.wmvUnfortunately, it starts rather abruptly. The broadcast was scheduled to start at 11 pm last Friday - and the started it about 5 minutes early . I usually set my recorder to start a few minutes early - but even so I missed the first few minutes. Especially galling is the fact that it was broadcast on a commercial-infested broadcaster, one of a group known to start programmes a few minutes late! They also suddenly cut in with a commercial break of almost 10 minutes, 8 minutes into the programme - they did not have the dignity to let Paul finish what he was saying properly - undoubtedly you will locate the break in the programme. Gerrit PS It may be that there are problems with the download - it is stored on the same site as my Andrea Bocelli videos, and his fans have been creating havoc with trying to download my latest offerings (with 160 downloads of a 130 MB video on just one day ...) A good download manager (if you want one) is Gigaget.

Knowing what I know about Hayley's lifetime developing her voice, I find it hard to believe that a voice like Paul's just appears out of nowhere without years of training. Surely he has been singing for years, perhaps since childhood if only as an amateur.

Martin,
From what I remember reading about Paul Potts, he had sung at an amateur standard and even won some sort of competition to have a singing lesson with the late, great Pavarotti many years ago. I believe he had to stop singing for a while due to health reasons.
