No, I don't have any of his albums. I've never had that much interest in him till now, that I found out he was that singer, and I liked him singing Bridge Over Troubled Water. And I only looked him up because of his scheduled appearance on PBS. I think I looked at his albums on Amazon, but I wasn't sure how interested I was. I'll check the ones you suggested again. So, how come I couldn't find this thread? I searched as many days as I could. I'm pretty sure I did enough days to add up to 3 years or more, but after a certain point, nothing new would show up in the results anymore. The latest thing I could find was in 2010.

So, how come I couldn't find this thread? Hello Libby! In a word, the ProBoards search engine is useless. I knew there was a thread for Russell Watson, so I looked back through the Other Music board and found it on page 5, last post 2 Dec 2009. Richard

Okay, I guess from now on, I'll just look through the sub-boards. Probably would've been much faster! I think I looked on the 2nd page, though.

I have to confess I never thought much of Russel Watson but a friend of mine suggested I have a listen to his latest album and I have to say I think it's really good- I've ordered a copy but I doubt I'll get much chance to listen to it for at least a month! I also like his version of Bridge Over Troubled Water thanks for sharing Libby! best wishes Sing

Well, I can't remember exactly why his albums on Amazon didn't appeal. Maybe it was the swing stuff, and maybe classical stuff I wasn't sure I would like from anyone but Andrea Bocelli. It was probably just that I saw a lot of cover songs that I don't necessarily care for. I'll have to look again, though. If not, I could probably find something to download on Amazon, if his albums have been released here.

Here is the only video I could find of Russell's performance on the Capitol 4th the other night. Hopefully a better one will turn up. A hometown Olympian announced him. www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4wz8SYVWo0

Yes, I saw it yesterday! My mom watches the show, and she told me because we saw him on the Capitol 4th show, and I was trying to tell her he was the singer who sang the Star Trek: Enterprise song, but she doesn't even remember watching the show! But she did! I told you it was boring! :2fun: But the song most certainly wasn't, which is why I remember it.

Hello Libby! If Russell Watson sang the Star Trek song, he must have three ears - a left ear, a right ear and a final front ear! Exit, stage left... Richard

Hello Libby! If Russell Watson sang the Star Trek song, he must have three ears - a left ear, a right ear and a final front ear! Exit, stage left... Richard lol Richard that's a good one! Convenient that these last posts reference the "Faith of the Heart" song; I've recently been getting very into Enterprise and I was quite surprised to see Russell's name in the credits for the song. Having only heard him in those old performances with young Hayley, it was rather shocking to hear him singing so differently. The man has some serious versatility! P.s. Enterprise is definitely worth checking out - it's so much more than just a sci-fi drama - the moral and social issues explored are quite enlightening in my opinion -Rory

Hello folks! According to Russell Watson, the title of the song is "Where My Heart Will Take Me": www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oalyw2sHXQkThat looks like the White House, but I'm not certain. Richard

Went to see Russell Watson at the Curve, Leicester last might, supported by Rebecca Newman. It was a very enjoyable evening, but the highlight for me was Russell and Rebecca duetting on "The Prayer". Yes, I know everybody and his dog sings it, but few do it so spine-tinglingly well as those two. Perhaps only Bocelli and Hayley. Was able to get a few words with Rebecca afterwards too.
