You are welcome, and thanks for the compliments. I believe it is critical for us to be unbiased when we write a a review of a concert, whether we like the artist or not. It isn't helpful to our credibility nor to the artist if all we do is say "wow" a hundred different ways, since that does not tell the artist where there might have been some things that need to be worked on nor does it tell the rest of the world the writer is anything but a mindless fan.
The key is being unbiased without being undiplomatic. To say an artist handled a difficult song in a passable manner but this passage or that was weak is inviting the artist to reexamine the performance. To say an artist is or was no good is not at all helpful. And to say a trill or a scale had some missed notes is one thing, to say an artist sounded like he or she hadn't taken lessons is a personal insult.
I'd like to think that even the subject of this site isn't beyond reproach, and open to hearing unbiased accounts, so long as they are NON-HURTFUL.

Daniel Rodriguez once said to me that if you don't have something nice to say it's better to keep quiet, and so I usually do these days. After all, is it really all that much fun to criticize or throw darts?

I also read that his chances of recovery are significantly lower this time out, due to the nature of the tumor. I don't know if that means it's malignant or just in an area harder to remove, but this is not good.

Hello everyone
I've just had a look through the relevant thread on Russell's web site. There are some very moving comments from some very loyal and dedicated fans. I wonder if anyone has told Hayley as he helped her career enormously in her early days.
I read that his operation was scheduled for 11am so should be ongoing now.
Incidentally, for anyone that wishes to take part, there is a prayer/positive thought session at 3pm.
Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant and everyone, I saw Russell Watson in concert on October 5th (twenty days ago!) and he really seemed in good health which really shows how fast things can go. I do hope his surgery goes well but from what I read on Russell's forum, the brain tumour he currently has is more agressive than the one he had before. My thoughts and prayers are with Russell and his family. Stephany
