Hi Richard,
I can continue this thread on-topic by asking if anyone else has Sissel's album 'My Heart'?
I got a US import. It features the best version of 'You Raise Me Up' I reckon, with its second verse.

Hi Jon, Yes in my hand 13 track Decca B0002080-02 must listen again now. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifHi Again Jon, Based on Sissel you would probably also like Nana Mouskouri, Classic or Classical are two good albums also Passport for the more non classical. Hayley has of course replaced Nana Mouskouri on my MOST PLAYED list. ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Hi again, again, The Deborah's Theme is good, Morricone moves from genius to madness, from brilliance to the incomprehensible, the best and the worst in music, comet

Yes, Jon, I have 'My Heart', but being brutally honest, it didn't impress me anywhere near as much as 'Into Paradise'. Due to your recommendation, I am now playing 'You Raise Me Up' as I type. It is very nice but I have heard better versions - Becky Taylor's is infinitely better, IMHO.

Hi Comet,
I watched a wonderful film called 'Evelyn' starring Pierce Brosnan a few weeks back and at the end of the film I started hearing a familiar sound - it was the opening bars to 'Angel Rays', I thought "Sissel's going to sing any moment! But it was someone else. The arrangement and instruments were exactly the same as Sissel's version however. Its a great song.

Roger The lastest version of 'You Raise Me Up' I heard was the Andrea Ross version, I don't know if you have heard that. In theory Josh's version should be the definite one but Sissel's adds something extra to it and I don't just mean the second verse. I bet when Hayley sings it you'll change your mind about Becky's version Roger.

Hi Comet,
I've never really considered Nana Mouskouri. I've heard of her though. I'll give her a listen.

Hi Comet,
'Like and Angel' and 'Vitae Lux' appear on Sissl's album called Into Paradise: 476 304-7. I don't think they are the same recordings, though - different choir.
I don't know where to find the other tracks you mentioned but other members may do.

Hi Comet, This is a long running series of live broadcasts done by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir; I think very few of them are released on CD. The downloads you have probably originate from one of Sissel's fansites on the following page and yes, they are excellent performances: www.sissel.cc/listen2sissel.htmlVitae Lux and Like an Angel... are available on Sissel's latest CD (in the UK) "Into Paradise" which I was playing only yesterday and was still sitting on my computer desk! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif As Roger says, these are different, studio recordings. The others are probably available on other Sissel CDs; I think Amazon UK sell most of them. Cheers, Dave

I download some songs from 'Into Paradise' from Napster, and for the next few weeks my favourite song was 'Vitae Lux' but I actually thought it was The Sleeping Princess! The track names were mixed around. The thing is, I didn't download all the songs at first. So, upon listening to 'Marble Halls' I realised what had happened: Marble Halls was actually Sleeping Princess! Not all the titles were mixed up. The funny thing is, it was obvious Sissel was singing the words 'Vitae Lux' when I was listening to what I thought was Borodin! :rollin
