Hi Stephany/Caite I am filling in the dots on my arena floor plan. I think the guys and gals will end up joining in the middle! I only have one good ear and it is pointing towards you two! We are taking over the RAH.

Hi all, Thank you Martin for the advice - I booked my tickets through the Royal Albert Hall website. Grant and George, I've got Arena A5 Seat 10. Not to sure if it's a good seat, though. I asked them to hold my ticket at the Box Office, because I don't have an address in Manchester yet. I'll book a place to stay the night in London and the bus tickets later (or train, not sure which one is better!). See you there Hi Stephany. I'm sure you're able to find your own hotel from your own searches but there are some new hotels in Camden, along the Euston Road between St Pancras and Euston stations, opposite teh British Library which are basic but clean and cheap. Remember, anywhere in Londoin is easy... except the Albert Hall if you are stuck with the Circle line! But buses are okay. Peter S.

Hi Peter, Many thanks for the advice. I started the search for an hotel but I was lost pretty quickly as they are so many in London!! I'll try to find one not too far from Victoria because I think it's where I'm supposed to take the bus to Manchester the day after the concert. Stephany

The strange thing about the Albert Hall is that the Stalls are called the Arena and the raised bit overlooking the Stalls Arena is called the Stalls. Anyway, despite this confusion I have just booked the Stalls (or is that the Arena?). Martin

That's a good idea, Stephany. I had assumed you would be using the train and could not remember which station Manchester related to but thought probably Euston or St Pancras. By the by. I assume that at Victoria you are aware you are opposite Buckingham Palace's kitchens (at the train terminus end)? A quick bus ride down one way is Westminster, across the road and round the wall (a bit of a walk, it is a large garden) is the front entrance to the palace, The Mall, Birdcage walk (leading to Number 10) and at the end of the Mall, Admiralty Arch and Trafalgar Square. Sure you only want to book one night? Peter S.

I'm not sure yet if I will take the train or the bus...but the British train has a very bad reputation in France, haha. We have a saying for that : "In England, you never know when you leave and you never know when you arrive". Sorry folks, no offense I'm also going to book tickets for the Manchester concert on Sept. 22 but the venue's site is down. Celtic Woman...We are waiting for you!!

reference your post #97 Stephany, dependent upon how certain you are ahead of dates you can gain some very good prices on Branson (or GNER if St Pancras--Grant will confirm) by booking ahead on the Internet. What you then do is turn up at the station, put the credit card you used to order your tickets into the appropriate machine and your tickets will be printed for you.
I appreciate your youth (unless you can claim a student's privileges) means you are not as advantageously placed as ancient old me but prices can be very reasonable and those trains, especially if travelling first class are superb.

You need to get a Virgin train from Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston. (Branson is the owner of Virgin). The earlier you book the cheaper it is. Good Luck Martin

Branson train, sorry, Sir Richard Branson owner of Virgin pendalino trains that run on the Euston line. If you are using GNER different line comes into King's Cross/St pancras, joint stations.
Regarding areas to look at I was merely suggesting tourist landmarks that might have interested you. All I quoted is very close together and at Victoria you are on top of it all.
Just put in any name in Google and ADD +MAP and you should find maps clear enough to show what is around you.
At the Albert Hall you have opposite Hyde Park and to the side Kensington Palace. Also along the way is Kensington High Street and Harrods.

Thanks Martin&Peter. The Virgin Train site indicates that tickets are not available more than 12 weeks in advance. I will therefore wait a bit before purchasing my train tickets. Prices are indeed very interesting. Thank you very much to both of you, you have been VERY helpful. Looks like I have a lot to discover in your country Stephany

In case anyone is interested, I have booked a 'Saver' room at the Wembley Travelodge for £26. I've just checked and there are still saver rooms available. Check in is 3pm or later and the hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Stonebridge Park tube station (Sorry Stephany, that's the London underground ) Although I don't believe it's in a tube OR underground when it gets out that far! Best wishes Grant

I don't wish to put a damper on things but Gerald Westenra has advised today that Hayley's involvement is NOT confirmed for any of the CW shows in the UK or throughout mainland Europe. We will not know for sure until I hear from Bedlam Management. Gerald has also asked them to contact me. Watch this space with fingers crossed!
