I heard that Natalie has been eliminated . ***First , let me make this very clear : I am NOT a troll and I am a very loyal fan to All Angels and HAYLEY . But this "5th Angel-Searching Contest " really pushed me over the edge and made me sick in the stomach. I have been wondering that , could it be done in a different way Basically , the idea is to run the talent-search like their did in America's Next Top Model (ANTM) and "The Last Girl Standing" would just jump up and shout " Wow !!!!!! Yay !!!!!!!!! I am the 5th Angel !!!!! Yada Yada Yada ........................... . " I don't think that this idea of running the "SHOW" is really advantageous to the previous 4 Angels , AT LEAST not to their public image and the image of their record label . As a matter of fact , we all know how "LOW" ANTM / Hell's kitchen is . The idea to put the finalists / potential Angel through such cut-throated , brutal competition , to me , at least , to me , is not A BIT angelic/ kind-hearted / anything . I understand that the music industry can be , or simply is ruthless . But I just don't think that UCJ should stand as low as "THAT". ***Edit by Dave: link to story (thanks Richard!)

Hi Roger, Thank you for the information and congratulations to Alexandra! Is this meant to be a long-term association or just an appearance at the 28th of November concert? Stephany

Hi Stephany,
Alexandra will appear with them on 28th only but I think I heard (somewhere) that she would also be involved in the recording of an All Angels single but I cannot confirm that at the moment.

Hi Roger,
I can confirm that what you read is right. As well as the concert, Alexandra will be in the recording studio singing a version of 'Ave Verum' with the girls.

Hi Roger and Dazza,
Thanks for the replies. It would appear logical that they come up with something like a recording. After all, the selection process was very long and Alexandra probably deserves to get some additional recognition.

Thanks for the confirmation, Dazza. I was fairly sure I had seen that somewhere but couldn;t put my finger on it instantly.
I am so pleased for Alexandra's sake that there will be a recording. No matter what the future holds for her, she deserves to have a recording that I am sure she will treasure forever.

Hi Stephany, Roger & Everyone, I am very pleased for Alexandra too, she will have something to treasure for life, and you never know, if she impresses the experience may lead to other oppertunities for her. This is the original story from All Angels official site.... "All Angels have teamed up with Classic FM to provide a once in a life time opportunity for one very lucky All Angels fan. They will be launching a nationwide search for a singer to perform a song with them at a special concert in London on 28th November. As if this wasn't enough the winner will also go into the studio to record a version of Ave Verum. As a souvenir of the day, the lucky winner will receive copies of the record, and a presentation disc. All Angels have invited entries from the whole of the UK, saying 'we feel so lucky to have been given the opportunities that we've had, that we want to help a budding singer in the same way.'
Applicants must be between 16 and 60 years of age, should send recordings of themselves singing either on CD or DVD by post, or upload them online to the site www.classicfm.com . Five finalists will be chosen from the entries, and invited down to London to take part in the final at the offices of Universal Music UK where they will be judged by a panel of top music industry experts. The lucky winner will be announced on the 12th November, and will appear at a concert with All Angels on 28th November."I am really looking forward to seeing Alexandra perform with the girls on 28th. Thanks Richard,
This is from the All Angels official site...
"Alexandra Lawrie, 26, has been chosen as the winner of the Angel Idol competition, which was carried out in conjunction with Classic FM. Alexandra, from Perranporth, Cornwall, is going to record a song, and perform at a prestigious concert on November 28th at St James' Church Piccadilly with the Angels. Five finalists were chosen from thousands of entries, and were auditioned by top record company executives and music manager Steve Abbott (judge on BBC 2's Classical Star) at the in-house studios at Universal Music.
Alexandra says 'It's a fantastic chance to be given the opportunity to sing with these girls. I was so nervous before the finals, and knew I was up against some stiff competition, so I was over the moon when I heard! I can't believe I'm going to be interviewed on Classic FM, and will be singing with the Angels very soon.'
Rehearsals for the November concert will start immediately, and will be fitted around All Angels' busy promotional schedule. The track that Alexandra will record with them will be the classic Pie Jesu, and tickets for the concert in November are on sale now."
It seems that they have changed the song that they are going to record from 'Ave Verum' to 'Pie Jesu'.

Hello everybody! There are now two videos of the final auditions on Classic FM's website:- www.classicfm.co.uk/article.asp?id=494357One shows short clips of all four finalists, and the other is a longer video of Alexandra Lawrie performing 'A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square'. The judges certainly had a difficult task. There is also a link to a video of All Angels discussing the competition, but it doesn't seem to work. Richard

Hi Richard,
Many thinks for the link.
That was a great performance. I think that Alexandra has a lovely voice.
You are right, it was certainly a difficult choice for the judges.
Having now heard her sing I am looking forward to her performance with All Angels even more.
