Hello everybody! The finalists have now been announced by Classic FM. Sadly Caitlin hasn't made it to the last five ... It would appear they were looking for a British person to take the spot, considering their "nationwide" search and what that implies.

We shall see who it ends up being. Any of them could fill the spot just as well vocally, I'm sure. It is a pity Caitlin didn't make it, but I do not believe she was out of the running from the get-go due to her Americanism, this was clearly very stiff competition.
Caite, for what it's worth, I am sorry this didn't pan out, but remember Thomas Edison went through at least three failures before he discovered the light bulb filament, and Abraham Lincoln failed several times in business before hitting his stride and becoming the greatest of our Presidents. Your time will come. Just keep at it.

Maybe Americans had as good a shot as anyone but c'mon, I wasn't born yesterday. National pride is at stake. Remember the storm of controversy when it was demanded that Harry Potter be a Brit? I suspect they'd have had a hard time selling a Yank as the 5th Angel, especially since the UK is AA's primary market.
