Hello folks! I shall go and harass the Southbank Centre Box Office again later this morning. I'll wear a life jacket in case they throw me in the river! Richard

Save your breath (and your life) Richard. According to the Box Office it is still not on their system. "Call back in a couple of days."
Roger, can we have a word in Bedlam's direction. It will get to the day before the concert, they will not have sold more than 10 tickets (to AAI and HWI) and the venue will decide to cancel the concert.
Or do we all just turn up and demand "Sanctuary".

Thanks Drew! Surely the tickets must be on sale by the weekend or there's going to be a mad scramble! This concert is supposed to be supported by Classic FM, but I haven't heard any mention of it there yet. I'll keep listening, and hoping! 20 days to go......and still no tickets! Richard

I have just phoned the Southbank Centre Box Office but they said they have no information about this event on their computer! Roger, can we have a word in Bedlam's direction. Yes Drew, I have asked the question. Roger

After thinking about it I don't think I'm going to attend this event. I'm sure there will be more to come as the new album gets closer. Have fun everyone!

Nor me Caite!
I would love to come but it means an overnight stay and there's been so much Hayley this year so far.
Like you, I'm sure there'll be another one soon.
Best wishes Grant

Roger, That's cutting it pretty fine, isn't it? I believe that last time we were there, the place was more than half empty then - it's going to be the same this time by the sound of it As I'll be in London at the DSEi, I'll be popping over during the evening.. if I can drag myself away from the socialising long enough ~C

Hello everybody! I've just been to the Royal Festival Hall Box Office. They are currently finalising the details, and the tickets for this concert may be on sale from about 4:00pm this afternoon. I'll call in again later, meanwhile here's the link to the Southbank Centre's website:- www.southbankcentre.co.uk/Richard

It never rains but it pours: Tube strike will cause massive disruption By Andrew Taylor, Employment Correspondent
Published: August 24 2007 02:37 | Last updated: August 24 2007 02:37
London Underground faces serious disruption next month from planned strikes by workers at Metronet, the failed contractor responsible for maintaining more than two-thirds of the network, unions said on Thursday.
Metronet went into administration last month after securing only £121m of the £551m emergency funding it said it needed to carry on.
Unions representing almost 3,000 Metronet workers said the failure of the company’s administrators “to provide guarantees that there will be no job losses or forced transfers” had prompted the strike call.
Members of the RMT and Unite unions are to stop work for 72 hours from 6pm on September 3. They will be joined by Transport Salaried Staffs’ Association members who plan a 48-hour stoppage from September 4.
RMT and Unite plan to stage a second 72-hour strike from September 10. Metronet’s contracts cover all underground lines except the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly, where work is done by Tube Lines.www.ft.com/cms/s/0/a66cc24c-51a4-11dc-8779-0000779fd2ac.htmlCould anything else get in the way. PS. Don't foget that it is Charlotte's 18th birthday on Wednesday 29th August.

Richard,
Thanks for letting us know! I'll keep an eye out over the weekend..
drew,
Things like this happen more than people realise. Strikes, late running maintenance - it's a fact of life. I'll be in the general area, so will probably just walk it. I usually walk four-five miles a day when I'm working in London.. It's a beautiful city, and there's always something to see..
Regards,
Chris
