Hi Gentleman from Hampton Court, hi all,
let us discuss, how we can active support Hayley to increase her polularity in Europe? How we can active support her career? What are any possibilities for us to take an active part for her doing in different fields of Hayley's personality.
Regards, Lothar

Hello again Lothar, and thank you for starting an interesting thread. There is something that people can do to help support and promote Hayley, not only in the UK and Europe, but worldwide. Send in lots of requests for Hayley's songs to your local and national music radio stations, both pop and classical. This will be particularly helpful when "Odyssey" is released in the autumn, but you could send in requests for tracks from "Pure" as well. Hayley sings many different styles and has very wide appeal, so most music stations should be able to play something of hers, except perhaps for a few specialist stations that probably don't attract a large audience anyway. Two of the best stations to write to in the UK would be Classic FM and BBC Radio 2, because they both attract a large number of listeners who would certainly enjoy Hayley's music, if they don't already. It would also be a good idea to write to your television stations asking to see Hayley. I clearly remember "Pure" shooting back up the UK charts following Hayley's appearances on TV in the 2003 Festival of Remembrance and the Royal Variety Performance. Are there any important people in the world of radio and television reading this? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBye for now, Richard

Further to what Richard has said, it is worth bearing in mind that Classic FM have a programme every weekday morning called "Most Wanted". For 24 hours prior to each programme anyone can vote online for the song or work of their choice from a list of 30 selected by the radio station. The ten "most wanted" are then played in descending order like a mini countdown. The list is then updated in readiness for the next day's programme and so on. When Pure was at it's height, one of its classical songs often appeared in the list and I always voted for it - a simple and painless procedure! Recently, Hayley has featured only very rarely. However, when Odyssey is released, I imagine we will have the opportunity to vore quite often. If you care to take a look at it, the Most Wanted page is here: www.classicfm.com/index.cfm?nodeId=222&sw=1024Happy voting! Roger

Hi all I agree with you. Of course I did some ideas by myself. I want to add: Send some information about new CDs or concerts to editorial stuff (departmants of culture and music) of some newspapers or magazins.
Looking for more ideas from you ... ... ...

Here's another idea! When "Odyssey" is released in the autumn, buy several copies to give as Christmas presents to all your friends and relations. That's Christmas sorted already, and it's over six months away! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard

Hello again Lothar! I agree that it is a good idea to write to newspapers and magazines about Hayley, but her singing says far more about her than the written word ever could. The Mail on Sunday has supported Hayley here in the UK by featuring her quite a few times on its giveaway CDs. Perhaps some of the newspapers and magazines in Europe could do the same, especially when "Odyssey" is released. Before I joined the Forum, I was already a huge fan of HWI because I particularly enjoy all the video clips of Hayley. I'm an even bigger fan of Hayley and HWI since I joined, so perhaps we could also do a bit more to spread the word about the HWI web site and the Forum. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBye for now, Richard

Hi Richard,
you wrote: "I agree that it is a good idea to write to newspapers and magazines about Hayley, but her singing says far more about her than the written word ever could. "
But I think here in Germany the number of people, who knows Hayley is very rare. The question is how receptive and open are the editors of the magazines and newspapers to write about somebody like Hayley whom they not known by itself.
greetings to you all, Lothar

Also what I do when I go in a record shop is to make sure Hayley's CDs are displayed prominently. Take the time to check that the CDs are in the right spot or place a few CD's where customers can spot them very easily. Every little bit helps.

Thank you for such a brilliantly simple suggestion Joe! I promise I'll do that in all the big London stores, and I hope everybody else will do the same all over the world when "Odyssey" is released. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes from England, Richard

Hi everyone, As I suggested in this thread on 22nd June, from time to time it is possible to show support for Hayley by voting for her on the Classic FM website. Today is such a day but you only have a few hours left. The programme will be broadcast tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, go here to VOTE FOR HAYLEY NOW! www.classicfm.com/index.cfm?nodeId=222&sw=1024Thanks, Roger

Thank you to everyone both here and through the groups who voted. 'Pokarekare Ana is being played now. Okay, so it is not the version from Pure but the recording she made in the Classic FM studio last year with guitar accompaniment but who cares? She is still..... Today's Most Wanted. Roger
