Hello everybody! I'm afraid I missed this yesterday because I was too busy trying to drum up support for Hayley's concert at the Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre next Sunday, so well done and thank you to everybody who did vote for Hayley, and congratulations to Hayley of course. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI'll try and look at this thread more often in future, and I'll post the link again as a reminder, because this is the first post on page 2. www.classicfm.com/index.cfm?nodeId=222&sw=1024Bye for now, Richard

Hi everyone, The full countdown of today's "Most Wanted" on Classic FM is as follows: 1 HAYLEY - POKAREKARE ANARoger Great work Roger, I reckon you got her to no. 1 single handed... with a bit of help from us! Did you know, Classic FM will be playing today's Most Wanted top 10 in full this evening... I think... in the Evening Concert running from 9pm to midnight BST. And they've already played "Pokarekare Ana in full! But I could have misunderstood this, we shall see. To celebrate, I've uploaded *temporarily* to my personal webspace a recording of today's Most Wanted introduction by Jane Jones, who says some nice things about "Hayley". Yep, she was introduced simply as "Hayley." Of course, I have included "Pokarekare Ana as broadcast - the special version recorded by Hayley for Classic FM in 2003, with Robbie McIntosh accompanying her on acoustic guitar. Some people (especially from outside the UK) may never have heard this version before! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThe file is Windows Media audio at 48 kbps, just under 4 minutes, 1.3 MB. This is available to HWI and when it appears there, I will delete the temporary link here.. Cheers, Dave

Thanks Dave, just think of what I could have done with both hands! My understanding of tonight's programme is the same as yours but, as you say, they have already played 'Pokarekare Ana' in full. Had the No 1 position been a symphony or a concerto, only one movement would have been played this morning. Almost certainly, the whole work would be played this evening. Somehow, I don't think they will play the whole of Pure due to its non-classical content but, with luck, we may hear a few other tracks. I will be listening closely. Incidentally, immediately following this morning's "Most Wanted" was a request programme and guess what? It included Hayley singing 'Bridal Ballad' at precisely the time that the Olympic decision was being announced. So, Hayley was heard on Classic FM twice in under an hour. Quite right too. I have downloaded the acoustic version of 'Pokarekare Ana' so many thanks for that, Dave. See you on Saturday! Roger

Hi Roger,
Well done on getting Hayley to Number 1 on the Most Wanted chart. Im sure this helps to spread awareness of Hayleys music to people who mightened have heard her music yet.
Also thanks Dave for the recording of the acoustic version of 'Pokarekare Ana'. My first time to hear this version, sounded great just with the guitar. The version also seemed very short, was it recorded this way?
Cheers,
Emmett

Thanks for the audio clip Dave. I've heard that version of "Pokarekare Ana" a couple of times before on Classic FM, but I never knew where it came from. Another mystery solved thanks to the HWI Forum! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBye for now, Richard

I missed this morning's "Most Wanted" on Classic FM because I was at work. Although 'Bridal Ballad' was on the voting page of their website, sadly, it didn't make it into today's top ten. But the good news is that we have a second chance. Most items remain on the voting list for several days. Therefore, whether you voted yesterday or not, please go here: www.classicfm.com/index.cfm?nodeId=222&sw=1024Let's see if Classic FM can count right this time, eh? Roger

Hello again Roger! Oh dear, I missed it again, but sadly the Bridal Ballad isn't on the list this afternoon. Type 100 times: I must try harder, I must try harder, I must try harder... Richard

Hello again Roger! Oh dear, I missed it again, but sadly the Bridal Ballad isn't on the list this afternoon. Richard Are you sure, Richard? It was there just 90 minutes ago which is when I voted for it. It will not let me look at it again because their software prevents me from voting twice in the same day. Try going back to it and refreshing the page if necessary. Roger

But O Sole Mio (by who-knows-who?) was also there an hour ago.. and it's still there! You can look at the voting page again if you change your browser settings for cookies (Tools, Internet Options, Privacy, Edit... then block classicfm.com) but I'm not sure, if you vote again, if your vote is accepted (you don't get any "thank you for voting" message). But if you then re-enable cookies for classicfm.com, you may be able to vote again, possibly (who, me?) i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheers Dave

Thank you for that Dave! I think Classic FM must have made a mistake and put the wrong list up. I'll just have to keep watching the link, but I'm going to vote for O Sole Mio because I fancy a Cornetto right now! Struggling to keep cool in this heat, Richard

That is really strange. Thanks for the tip, Dave. I have now viewed the list again and 'Bridal Ballad' has indeed disappeared. I watch this page every day and have never known one of the unsuccessful items be removed after only one day before. It is also strange that 'Elavazione' by Zipoli has returned. That appeared for several days recently and was eventually removed. So why put it back so soon?
Oh well, I'll keep watching.
Enjoy the Cornetto, Richard!
Roger

Sometimes when I'll be working outside or out in my back garden, I will take out my CD player and let Hayley's music permeate round the neighbourhood (of course at at reasonable time of day)! Who knows; perhaps the people next door to you take a liking to Hayley!

Hello folks, I've just made an interesting discovery! It looks as though Classic FM update their daily voting list at around 2pm UK time. I've just looked at the list and 11 sections are blank at the moment. I tried to refresh a couple of times and nothing happened, so I'm going to look again later. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBye for now, Richard

Hi Richard, The time at which the Classic FM "Most Wanted" list is updated varies considerably. I have known it to be done withing minutes of the current day's programme ending, and I have occasionally had to wait until the evening. I'll look again later too. Roger
