Hi Kimberly, I'm afraid all we know is that there WILL be a UK Special Edition of Odyssey to be released when the Il Divo tour reaches the UK. The date suggested by HMV (27 March) seems to make sense as the first UK concert is in Belfast on that day. HMV are suggesting a one disc version but that may be wrong as it would limit it to an extra 4 three minute tracks and no videos (it's already 62 minutes in length!!!). Up to seven extra tracks has been suggested by Hayley's Manager but we'll have to wait and see - my guess is a 2 disc set. Hayley would have had to go into the studio in December or January (or very soon!) to record extra tracks for that and I don't know if she did. That's all I know! Cheers, Dave

It could be one cd Russell Watson's best of cd has 20 songs that are going to be on it and alot of the songs that are on it are song of his longist songs. And it is not the manger that decied this stuff it is the labal and Hmv gets there info from labal.
I do not think it is a 2 disc UCJ has been more into the one disc re-isuming a cd.

All I did was the maths, 74 minutes is a full CD so that leaves room for another 12 minutes. But If they reduced the extra tracks down from 7 to 3 or 4 (and no video), they would probably fit. But HMV have had it wrong before and record companies change their minds. They did the same with Pure Special Edition, announced it as one disc with four extra tracks and named the tracks! It ended up as 7 extra tracks and a video all on an extra disc, as you know. You can read all about that here. And if you click the link at the top of that post, it takes you to HMV's Pure SE page where it STILL claims it is one disc. But it's two! I guess we'll have to wait and see. Cheers, Dave

I think it is dump have two cds when most cds how can fit more than 100 min . I have some cds that are like that. So it does not have to be 2 cds and if it is not it can count togetter.
as you can see I am not to into 2 disc cds the only way I like it is if one disc is a cd and the other a dvd.

I think it is dump have two cds when most cds how can fit more than 100 min Officially, the CD specification only supports upto 74 minutes. There're 99 minutes CDs but they don't work well with older CD players. I don't like dual CD either but what's worse is the double sided CD/DVD discs. Allen

Shall we start the tracklist guessing game? I think it's fairly safe to assume there will be either: Four extra audio tracks - or; Seven extra audio tracks and at least one video. Remixes of existing tracks could also be included (or added). My guesses so far: You Are Water My Heart Belongs To You I Say Grace Video - Both Sides Now Any more? (Roger - I like your guess in the Il Divo thread this morning!) Dave PS: Kimberly, I added UK to the thread title, to make it easier to find quickly

Hello Dave! Don't forget that "Bridal Ballad" from the film 'The Merchant of Venice' was included on the UK bonus CD edition of "Pure" before it was included on the original UK version of "Odyssey". It seems logical that "Listen To The Wind", almost from the film 'The New World' should be included on the UK bonus CD edition of "Odyssey", so that's my guess. My other choices are exactly the same as yours! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBye for now, Richard

I think that they could take some of the songs that are on it and replace tham with songs that could make the cd sell more the rason for this new one is that I think. And here are the songs that I feel could sell it.
Listen To The Wind You Are Water My Heart Belongs To You Vivo Per Lei (live) there is a way they can have this song time to say goodbye (live) The Mummer's Dance From A Distance
'Del Amore Non Si Sa' I think could be taking off and replace the better liked Vivo Per Lei Bridal Ballad could be replace by Listen To The Wind

Hi everyone! Here are my guesses, from what I think is most likely, to the least: - Listen to The Wind - My Heart Belongs To You - You Are Water - I Say Grace - Maybe a rerecording of something from an earlier album?

Hi everyone,
Prompted by what Kimberly said....
Dave, would it be the end of the world if the re-release did NOT qualify for the Classical charts? If that restriction were lifted, the posibilities really open up. I must say though, that I think Kimberly's suggestions are perfect. I also love Oksana's suggestion of a newly recorded version of something from one of the earlier CDs. How about 'Through These Eyes' - with Sophie?
Then again, how about 'Panis Angelicus' also with Sophie?

My guess is similar to Dave's: Listen to the Wind You Are Water I Say Grace My Heart Belongs to You Both Sides Now (music video) Listen to the Wind (music video) Vivo Per Lei (live video) Time to Say Goodbye (live video) While organizing my computer last night, I noticed an old recording of Andrea Bocelli's "Dell Amore Non Si Sa" video.. Wouldn't it be nice if Andrea shoots a new version of the video with Hayley? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif BTW, Andrea was playing the piano in the video. Allen

Hi everyone, Prompted by what Kimberly said.... Dave, would it be the end of the world if the re-release did NOT qualify for the Classical charts? If that restriction were lifted, the posibilities really open up. Roger Hi Roger... and I don't know! I suspect that whatever happens, we will never know whether or not the alternative option would have been better or worse. I have my doubts about whether or not Pure Special edition taken as a whole met the 60% rule - but it got in the classical charts. To qualify, I think Mary Did You Know, Silent Night and Away in a Manger would all have had to count as classical. Perhaps a bonus fdisc is discounted for calculation purposes? I don't know. Now, there is a comment in the chart rules that once an album correctly qualifies for the classical chart, it will remain in there for the rest of its chart life. That could be very important IF sales can be combined with the original version... read on. What I know is that a bonus CD containing four original tracks + remixes or live versions or videos of existing tracks would have its sales combined with the original. That could be important in the first few weeks of the special edition's life as it would provide a higher chart position. If the previous paragraph also applies (that once it's correctly in the classical chart it stays in) this could be a crafty way of getting both! If agreement was reached to include the Bocelli duets, they would count as additional tracks so sales would not be combined. If Both Sides Now, What You Never Know and Never Saw Blue videos were included, they would not count as extra tracks so I think they are more likely to be inclided. Steve did say in November that Hayley needed to go into the recording studio again for this Special Edition, but he didn't say what type of material would be recorded - and we don't know if she did actually record some. So many unanswered questions.... Cheers, Dave
