Thank you Dave for the compilation clip of "Prayer". My immediate reaction to the Secret Garden version was that the song cries out for Hayley's voice, and how right I was when Hayley took over! This is definitely a song that deserves plenty of airplay on BBC Radio 2, and I would like to hear it played during Mike Harding's folk music programme on Wednesday evening. The more I listen to the clips from "Odyssey" the more I like them, and Hayley's amazing voice sounds more distinctive than ever. Congratulations Hayley! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI'm looking forward to reading the reviews from New Zealand next month, then the UK version is due for release in September. Is it me, or is it a very long summer this year?!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBye for now, Richard

Finally Hayley's official site has some new Odyssey stuff,A Odyssey header to the site and backgrounds and a bit of the song What you never know (won't hurt you). Worth looking at.

I listened to the clip of "She moves through the fair" and Hayley of course does it very well but I've never liked the song. In fact I use to hate it when Charlotte sung it! lol. Still, Hayley might convert me yet...

I've always liked that song. The first time I heard it was on Charlotte Church's CD. I loved it a lot, and I still like it.
It might take a lot of listening, though, to get used to Hayley's version.

Hello again everybody! It's lovely to hear some different clips, and I'm getting more excited about "Odyssey" every day. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifWhile you're looking at the Japanese site, take a peek at the photo gallery. There are some very interesting shots there, including one of Hayley apparently playing the harp. Now that's truly angelic! Best Wishes from London, Richard

I've noticed a slightly different version of "Never Saw Blue" on one of the Odyssey e-cards, and I like it! I've seen three versions of the e-card, all with the same tracklisting and samples but each with a different introduction song as the e-card loads. These (with the intro song) are: www.hyperlaunch.com/hayleywestenra/v3/ (linked on the official site) - intro What you Never Know www.hyperlaunch.com/hayleywestenra/nz/ (linked from NZ retailers) - intro Both Sides Now www.hyperlaunch.com/hayleywestenra/ - intro Never Saw Blue. The intro-version of Never Saw Blue has a slightly slower tempo and less prominent, minimal piano accompaniment compared to the album version. I like it! I haven't yet been able to locate any other e-card versions e.g. one with a "uk" sufffix. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Do you think this version will be used on any of the different editions of Odyssey? Perhaps the UK version?
I wonder why they are making different arrangements of a few of the songs.

I really like that version of Never Saw Blue, because it really lets Hayley's voice shine through. I hope it will be on the UK version because I really want to hear the rest of it. ~Meagan

Put side by side with the other version of Never Saw Blue, I agree that the intro-version is much nicer. It looks like NSB could be a single, since they recorded another arrangement. Let's hope so; it sounds like a very nice song.

There is something very distincltive about the overall sound that it could do well as a single. Roger

Hello everybody! The more I listen to both versions of "Never Saw Blue", the more I like both of them, so I certainly want to hear the rest of the new recording. Whichever one is on the UK version of "Odyssey", I know it's going to be a very popular track. It has a lovely melody, and it really shows off the feeling in Hayley's beautiful singing. I've had enough of Shakespeare, so I've changed the words at the bottom of my posts to something more appropriate! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBye for now, Richard
