I guess we will have to wait and see what happens, Roger. Maybe the songs we haven't heard will be so out-of-this-world that everyone will buy the CD!! Oh my word, I just did the coolest thing. I played the What You Never Know snippet on Window Media Player at the same time the sample was playing automatically on the e-card. It sounded so cool like Hayley was singing it in a round! If you get it just right, sometimes it will harmonise and sound really good. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

She may have been standing right behind you singing along. She will have gone now so we can't be sure but, as she says, What You Never Know.....! Roger

Haha, I doubt that, but that would have been sooo cool! Now I like the song because I've been playing it so much.

Hello everybody! I've just listened to the clips, and I think Hayley's voice sounds lovelier than ever, but my initial impression is that the songs don't really sound commercial enough to instantly win new fans. However, it was Hayley's voice on "Pure" that first grabbed my attention, rather than the songs, but the songs quickly grew on me after a few playings, so I'm sure "Odyssey" is going to have the same effect! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifNow I can't wait to hear the UK version in full, but I'm going to have to! Bye for now, Richard

Hi All, Just saw the new E-card and :oWOW I'm very impressed. The new wallpapers are amazing, definitely going up on my pc straight away. I have to say that Hayley looks so beautiful and mysterious in the photos. The imagery really suit the whole mood for the album. When I first heard the samples I was impresssed with 'What You Never Know' and 'Never Saw Blue'. They sounded great but I hope there is something a bit more up tempo on the album as I'm more into the poppy tracks. But from what I heard I was impressed. I think one of the big problems is, that 'Pure' was too good. We really need to hear the whole album to make better judgements. Emmett

I like most of the sound clip's ,I do agree most of them do not sound classical but while I was listening to them I thought of another kind of music that would be perfect for her voice mood music as in new age, flim music, trance, etc.

Hi all,
I had a go at the samples...thanks Dave, for the compilation! All of the songs are beautifully sung by Hayley. I wonder which ones will make it into the US version. As to my personal favourites, I can't say as yet. However the selection of songs on 'Odyssey' may appeal to more of the American ear than 'Pure'.

I think you can not get a good idea as something with short sound clips and a lot of time they are a at the end of a song or some one you never know what part of a song something is. I like what I heard. I think Pure did not have much songs that you say can be hits. And the songs that she did the were not new songs alot of people did tham that I do not see any kind of mistey to tham which is something I like . And I argee she should of not put both sides now it was done by alot of people . I would like more classical on the UK and USA one. And we have to remeber there were fours songs that there were not any sound clips too . So there are four songs that we do not know what they sound like. And I also like what you never know. I like it how there are some new liyics to it. It makes the song so much better. With pure that has to grown on me as I heard it more I liked it more. But with all the cds I have I find some songs that I do not like that much.
some of the songs on Pure I was not as keen on as other people. Now I love the song Amazing Grace but the one on Pure I did not like as much as the one on her frist cd as that one had the bagpiles. But pure did have maoi songs one it which I love but there are songs that I am not to keen on that I do not play that much. But wverone is different. But I did argee with stuff that you all are saying but I bet you the four songs we did not here sound clips of are great and she is going to have some diferent stuff on the UK and US one. Which I am going to get both of than and I am getting the NZ one.
I also liked the soung clip for the song Prayer does anyone know what one that is.

Artistically, though. This sounds identical to Pure.

I also liked the soung clip for the song Prayer does anyone know what one that is. Hi Kimberly, is the part where Hayley has new lyrics for What You Never Know a new section of tune, too? Is it a bridge she's introduced, that wasn't there before, and do you think that's where her co-composer credit is earned? It's also got a much "lighter" backing than the original of course, so I guess Hayley would have had a big hand in the new arrangement. Prayer is the Secret Garden song from their album Dawn of a New Century, so Celtic/New Age I guess. I've compiled a composite of two Secret Garden samples and added Hayley's sample on the end, so we can listen to half of the song now - albeit by two different people in slightly different keys! Here it is (2minutes, 700KB, 48kbps although some of the original samples were lower than this). i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Thanks for the 'Prayer' compilation, Dave. The Secret Garden version is okay but nothing special. Reminiscent of Clannad perhaps? Certainly Hayley's version is far more soothing and is certainly very pleasant but I'm still not convinced that the song itself is good enough for her.

Thanks Kimberly, I love Prayer as well - also, Never Saw Blue and What You Never know Regarding quotes, you should be able to see a "quote" button in the top right corner of the post you are replying to. Click that, and up comes a new "reply" box containing everything you need to quote the previous message... and you can snip bits of it out, if you want to. You reply goes below the final [ /quote] tag. If you are using the "Quick Reply" box, you won't be able to do quotes - well not easily, anyway! Cheers, Dave
