Hi folks,
Let's have a little race. It would be interesting to see who can come up with the first accurate tracklisting for each of the releases of Odyssey. That will require a bit of websearching periodically until it can be found.
So, on your marks, get set, go!!!
Keith.

Anybody got any ideas?? Ooops, Emmett, I accidentally modified your post when I tried to reply - I think I've put it back now though (sorry!!!) My reply was meant to be: I've asked my Japanese charts contact if he will do a proper translation for me, cheeky i know but if he can do it, i should hear from him sometime tomorrow! Cheers Dave

Still there no problems.
I look forward to seeing the tracklist it should be interesting. I suppose this will be the Japanese version.
I hope there is not going to be as many versions of 'Odyssey' as there was for 'Pure', as my credit card wont be able to cope.
Cheers,
Emmett

Steve told us last week that there would indeed be different versions around the world because of the differing rules concerning qualifying for the classical charts in their respective countries. He did not say there would be as many versions but my guess is there will be. He added that more tracks had been recorded (17 if I remember rightly) than will be needed for the final product. The reason is to have a few tracks in reserve if certain tracks cannot be included for the above reason. Ah, but is that enough for a re-release with bonus CD, I wonder?! Roger

OK guys - here's a translation of the Odyssey tracklisting for JAPAN, it took me ages until mario from Japan came to my rescue ...here is the updated version (updated again **): Hayley Westenra / Odyssey update 24 June 2005
Track Listing (may not be in order): The Prayer (guessing, the Josh Groban/Charlotte Church one). Ave Maria (Caccini). Dell'Amore Non Si Sa (w/ Andrea Bocelli) [updated! ** ] Never Saw Blue Like That (original song). What You Never Know (original song). Both Sides Now (Joni Mitchell). Quanta Qualia (Patrick Hawes) May it Be (Lord of the Rings - Enya) Aria (Cantilena) From Bachianas Brasileiras No.5 - Villa Lobos. From a Mozart Piano Concerto. Mozart’s Lullaby – Flies/Mozart (Wiegenlied). Dido's Lament: Thy Hand, When I'm laid In Earth. (From 'Dido and Aeneas' by Purcell) I Say Grace (probably a bonus track for Japan) Second bonus track for Japan. That's it folks, the best I (we!) can do so far and I think I'm going to LOVE it! Odyssey (Japan) looks to me slightly more classical than Pure so if the UK classical charts committee try to keep THAT out, they must be stark staring bonkers.! Cheers m'dears!

Hello Dave and everybody! The tracklisting is perfectly in order as far as I'm concerned! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIt looks as though Hayley is going to do the impossible yet again, because I think "Odyssey" is going to be better than "Pure"! I wonder if either of the original songs listed has been written by Hayley? She did say she was hoping to write something for her next album. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI'm going to guess YES!Time will tell... Richard

OK guys - I couldn't wait any longer so I did my own translation of the Odyssey tracklisting for JAPAN, it took perishing HOURS. Then, mario from Japan came to my rescue and I had to alter it a bit... so here it is. Hayley Westenra / Odyssey update 24 June 2005
Track Listing (may not be in order):
[Edit by Dave: please see two posts above, the track list has changed! ]Cheers m'dears! Thank you for this very intersting information from you. I believe "I say Grace" Hayley was singing at her concert at last tour in Germany - but I'm not sure. Greetings Lothar

Okay folks, Dave wins the most coveted prize for a competition that the world has ever known - a Mars Bar wrapper. No Mars Bar, I've eaten that. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifMany thanks Dave. That is a very interesting tracklisting and simply adds to the impatience of waiting for it's release. Keith.

Can't wait to see what they have in store for New Zealand re track listing Odyssey i'm hoping the duet of Hayley and Andrea is Con te Partiro (time to say goodbye) They did that at the ChristchurchNZ concert in 2004,one of my all time favourites and about the last song i saw Hayley do at our local talent quests. How many of you in the UK are going to wait to September 26th for your copy of Odyssey.

Dave wins the most coveted prize for a competition that the world has ever known - a Mars Bar wrapper. Hello Keith! Can I have a Bounty wrapper please? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifOn 17th February, in the "Your picks for Hayley's new album" thread on the "Songs for Hayley" board, I suggested "The Prayer", possibly as a duet with Andrea Bocelli. Now I'm wondering if Hayley has actually recorded it with Bryn Terfel. In case you don't believe me, here's a quote from the very post! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIt's probably too late to suggest this for the new album, but if Hayley wants to record another duet some time, I would love to hear her sing "The Prayer", perhaps with Andrea Bocelli. It's amazing what you can do by copying and pasting! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI'm getting more excited every minute, but there are still three months and a day before "Odyssey" is due for release! Bye for now, Richard

How many of you in the UK are going to wait to September 26th for your copy of Odyssey. Hi Belinda and everyone, I wasn't impressed with the Lions' performance earlier today - it was not worth getting up early for. Well done to the All Blacks though - impressive, how do they do it Anyway, Belinda and Hayley will be happy, lol! I bet most of us "foreigners" will be fighting to be first to get an Odyssey from NZ on our CD players - I know I will. I bet Keith will offer another Mars Bar wrapper for the winner! Con te Partiro would make a great duet between Hayley and Andrea and this is still a possibility as my contact has now said he thinks it will be some other song not yet listed by Universal Japan. He has also said the reference to Felicja Blumental was a slip of his cut-and- paste finger (oops!) and he thinks "I Say Grace" is one of the two bonus tracks for Japan (so we won't necessarily get to see it on the other versions). I have amended my original list accordingly (it's 7 posts above here) and Keith - I will collect my wrapper at Kenwood House i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheers m'dears!
