Hi All,
My thanks to all for the reports and photos.
I am glad that you were able to clarify the situation Mark and that you were able to have a family meeting with Hayley.
It was a shame that Ray was not there as no doubt he would have contacted the HWI members during the evening with a view to sorting out the post concert arrangements.

Hi Mark an welcome to the forum!
I think your post raises and answers some very valuable points. I was not going to comment further, but for clarification and future understanding, I will.
At no point were we rude to the guys, to have been so would have destroyed our credibility and would have done little to further the respect we get from Hayley. What we did was stand our ground in the hope that his first approach was a try on and that he would mellow.
I think everyone on this forum is aware of the need for security, and I would expect good security staff, in most circumstances, to be able to distinguish between well meaning individuals and the other sort! We would be mortified if anything any of us did put Hayley at risk.
Lastly, several of us have talked about what we would do if we were to find ourselves, by chance, in Hayley's 'private space' and have come to the conclusion that we would perhaps say "Hi!" if the circumstances were appropriate, but that it would be up to Hayley to make the next move. If she were to see us and say "Hi!" and carry on her way, so be it. If she stopped for a chat all the better, but that would have to be her decision.
Best wishes Grant

OK. I think everything has been covered quite well. Thanks for expressing your views. Let's move on. Sorry Joe! I responded to Mark's post as I trawled through the last 50 and before I saw your comment above. Going to stand in the corner now! Best wishes Grant

Joe IS right, it's time to move on. Sorry, Starbuck, about the heaviness, but the law isn't a Danielle Steel novel.

Thank you to everyone who has agreed to let the security issue be laid to rest. If there is any further coverage of the concert itself, it would of course be welcome.
Thanks, Roger

Hi Jim Thanks very much for the photos of both of the venue and the stage. I'm particularly pleased that you managed to capture the Raven Quartet, as well as Hayley at the piano performing Sonny. Obviously, despite the camera police, you managed to sneak a few shots. Perhaps one of the benefits of sitting in row B . I don't think I could have got away with it on the front row Well done and thanks again. Regards mark

The pictures of the Raven Quartet answered a question for me -is it the same quartet sometimes used by All Angels (St.James & St. Bartholomews)? No. it's not! Martin

Hello everybody! I've found the Raven Quartet on MySpace. Click on the link to see their future concerts with Hayley. Further investigation confirms that Stephanie is Nicola Benedetti's sister, so there's a link with Bedlam Management. Richard

Hello Richard
Thank you for finding out about the Ravens. Looks like they'll be performing at four of my seven ROD concerts which I shall most definitely look forward to!
Interesting though, that they are still showing Durham on their schedule.
Best wishes Grant

Richard, I see from their list that they are playing at ITunes on 29/07. I wonder if they are replacing the Ahn Trio. Or could Hayley be supported by a trio and a quartet (and Simon on the piano)?

Martin Quite different Martin. At St. Barts and St. James's All Angels were supported by the same quartet (two ladies and two gentlemen). At Coventry (and presumably at York and Bury St Edmunds) they were supported by a quartet of four young ladies. But you are correct, they are not the same four.

Thanks to Martin and Jim for the pictures. The first one in # 79 seems to be a deja vu for me - nearly the same pose and the same angle as in Buxton. Thanks again and all the best, Karsten

Hi all! Thank you Grant, Mark and George for your fantastic reports and Martin and Jim for your pictures. It sounds as it has been a perfect event. First being spellbound by every word Hayley is singing and after the concert the excitement didn't end. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifWhen the security guy was told to expect trouble and after that being faced with waiting fans then a misunderstanding is bound to occur. I'm happy that this misunderstanding was solved thanks to Hayley and that everyone was able to meet her. She's so thoughtful and taking care of us even after the show. A very special person Best wishes, Thomas

Thanks for your pictures Jim. I will download them, then at least I will have some of this wonderful occasion. But I'm sad to have missed out on meeting Hayley afterwards, and am green with envy. Since I had heard nothing, I had stupidly assumed there was no chance, and anyway we were with another couple who had not seen Hayley for a while (I think about 4 years). They were mightily impressed by how she has improved. For them the highlight was Sonny, which they had never seen her perform before! For me the highlights is also usually hearing songs I have not heard her do live before, this time 1000 winds and Songbird. I had not heard her sing Amazing Grace for a while either, and I was half expecting her to burst into Japanese for the second verse. However, she sang the traditional four verses in English, From where I was sitting, there were gasps all around at the start of the concert too, when she launched into Prayer a capella.
Thinking about it, I'm not sure I have heard her sing Lascia live either, and this prompted a response of "lovely!" from Sue.
Hi Karsten, yes, I noticed the similarity of Jim's picture to your famous masterpiece from Buxton. She was wearing the same dress too!
