Hi Martin,
I've looked into this aspect before and I check on it periodically.
The only recovery solution offered by Proboards is from the deletion of an entire forum. Deleted or lost boards, threads or posts cannot be recovered. Sadly.

Hi Grant, the post-count reduction would have occurred when I tried the only possible solution this afternoon (suggested at Proboards Support) which was the "Fix Board" option that we have. This hadn't apparently worked before - but it was worth a try. One of the things it does, however, is to re-count the posts in the entire board (after the lost posts - but it makes me wonder if others have been lost un-noticed in other threads in the past) so that probably explains it. Cheers, Dave Interesting Dave We have lost 111 posts over 9 pages - average about 12.3 posts per page, with all the pictures, that seems about right. Hopefully it was a 'one time' glitch, 'cos generally speaking we seem to have a pretty solid board. It does, however, seem worth suggesting at this point to anybody making a report or a lengthy or important post that it is worth creating this in word or some media away from the forum and then pasting it into the forum. All my concert reviews are created in word and backed up on my PC before they are posted. This is something I learned from Peter (Postscript) as it is very difficult to recreate something that is written from the heart just a few hours after the event. Best wishes Grant P.S. Although the posts total has reduced, it doesn't seem to have affected individual members total posts!

I may be wrong but I believe that Graeme has saved all the reports posted on this topic. He's probably sleeping by now so we'll see tomorrow. I keep my fingers crossed Stephany Graeme, have you saved any of the Passchendaele reports by any chance? Stephany Yes, what a shame. No Stephany I used to save every report going but I came to trust the forum as 100% reliable. I save every pic tho but, of course they are still sitting on the individual's host server. What I would (bit late) suggest is that every member who writes a report of an event makes sure he/she saves their own in future just in case. The other positive thing (tedious & fiddly tho it is) is that if any of us writes a report & we start rewriting it from memory, then for the most part it'll come back to us. Graeme PS Passchendaele was one of the best bits of forum reporting ever. We really don't want to lose it. (or some of it) PPS The Readings report of mine I did save on a word file.
