Hey Stephany, I think that it'll be fun, so yeah, might attend.. which means I'll be driving down as the cost of driving is cheaper than the trains, and less time too Driving on the other side of the road is easy.. I do it all the time in the States and the Middle East I actually find it harder switching back when I return to England or NZ ~Chris

Looking at Bath Forum's web site, it suggests that the only facilities they offer is to book the venue for a conference or whatever. There's no listing of events, or no apparent facility to list events. It may be that there are no public events currently booked there and that may change when Hayley's concert is advertised, otherwise, I assume tickets will be available elsewhere and someone will tell us where! Best wishes Grant

Bedlam Management have confirmed that Hayley will appear in a charity Chrismas concert in Bath Forum[/b] on Saturday 15th December. [/quote] Hi Roger, Does that mean Hayley will mostly sing Christmas songs? Stephany

Hi Stephany,
I am sure Hayley will include several traditional carols and other seasonal favourites. I have no idea what she might be planning for this event and I don't suppose she does yet either! In the past, I have known her sing the following in concerts during the run-up to Christmas:
Away In A Manger Chestnust Roasting on an Open Fire Hark the Herald Angels Sing The Little Drummer Boy O Come All Ye Faithful O Holy Night Silent Night White Christmas
It may not be a Christmas theme throughout so don't be surprised if she mixes in a few other songs from any of her albums.
Roger

I don't think you will find it that difficult, Stephany. I am sure Grant or Richard will put in an oar to help. Peter S.

Post 14, it ain't that 'little' Stephany. It is indeed a beautiful city of Bath stone and has ancient history going back to Roman times when the original 'spa' was built. Do your web research before you go and work out what you particularly want to see. The train journey shows excellent scenery so try and travel over early morning to late pm, remembering it is short day-time.
It is an historic line, originally built by Brunel at seven feet wide but it proved impractical so reverted to the now standard four feet eight and a half inches and one of the straightest for the longest distance line in the UK. hence the short time from Paddington to Bristol and beyond

Hi Roger, Thank you for your answer. This concert will celebrate the start of my holidays so it will be even more enjoyable if Hayley could "drag me" in the Christmas atmosphere. Peter, I will follow your advice and do some web research about Bath. After reading your post, I realized how much I have to visit. I may well stay the full weekend rather than just a day for the concert. Thanks to Hayley, I will quickly know most parts of the UK Best wishes from Paris, Stephany

I hope tickets are on sale soon. I have to book the flight a few months in advance to get a good price. It will be a great joy to listen to Hayley singing Christmas songs again. Thomas

Hi Thomas, You certainly visited many places in the UK thanks to Hayley! By the way, let me know if you find a nice B&B or hotel in Bath Center...I haven't started my search yet as I feel it is way too early but hey, maybe I should to get lower prices. I look forward to meeting you! With luck, it will be even sooner Stephany

Following Hayley round the country and using the excuse to learn about my own country, or remind myself of what I had forgotten. You will have a great time. Peter S.

Hi Stephany!
I've checked some hotel prices but there was no special offer so far. In fact the words "UK" and "low prices" don't fit together. But it's still time to look for a good offer in the next weeks.

Sounds like another little HWI gathering and with Christmas very close by! Nice to know Hayley will be doing a performance and then going back to spend time with her family, which she always enjoys. Stephany I know you will have a fabulous time at the concert, but you will get to know the city of Bath and I have also researched a little bit and it seems like a nice city. Meldy

But Bath seems a lovely city so it will be worth it to go to this one. On top of that, it's a charity concert so I'm very pleased to be able to help. Is this for Hayley's Ghana project? Stephany

Hi Stephany, I am assuming this is not for the Ghana project as it didn't say so on the schedule. It is more likely to be for one of the "health" charities such as Cancer Research but we may not know for sure until the venue's website show more details. I can't put too many questions to Bedlam or I may cause bedlam! Roger
