Bedlam Management have confirmed that Hayley will appear in a charity Chrismas concert in Bath Forum on Saturday 15th December. As this is a newly listed event, I will include a link to the venue's website although no details appear there at present. Roger

I may delay my flight back to France (for Christmas holidays) to go to this one as well. It doesn't seem easy to go from Manchester to Bath, though. Stephany

Hi Stephany, It may not be the easiest journey in the world but it is possible. If travelling by train, it can be done in four hours, changing in Newport, Gwent. Huh, that means you go into Wales and back into England again! No passport required! Roger

There are a few through trains to Bath from Manchester, but they take forever! Your best bet would be to change at Birmingham and Bristol or even to go via London, though I guess that would be more expensive. It may be worth looking at Nationa Express coaches as an alternative. Best wishes Grant

Thank you Roger & Grant for your help. I checked the National Rail website and it tells me my station is ambiguous. I have to choose from the list above : - Bath Spa - Bathgate - Matlock Bath Which is the right one? I would love to go and see Hayley once near Christmas day. I'm assuming she will be leaving the UK to New Zealand shortly after to spend some quality time with her family

Hi Stephany, Bath Spa is what you need. I believe Bathgate is somewhere in scotland and Matlock Bath is no use tro anybody... unless you want to visit Grant. I don't know any details about Hayley retunring home for Christmas but I think your assumption is probably about right. It is not confirmed but the expectation is that she is likely to spend longer than usual in NZ this (next) year, possibly up to three months. That is likely to include some concerts but, hopefully, a reasobale time out with her family. About time too, Hayley! Roger

Thanks to both of you. There's indeed a change in Newport (Wales) and the trip is not that long after all. That means I shall be there with you Grant!

That event seems to be a great event to start into Christmas time. I'll think about this but I guess I go there.

I know she'll be showered with praise afterward! Perhaps the bubbly will be overflowing.

Thomas, I would be delighted if you could come. A great opportunity to meet...unless we managed to do that before, of course! I also look forward to seeing you there Grant & Martin!! Take care, Stephany

Stephany You could always get a train from Manc to London and ask for a lift It's a really easy drive, straight down the M4, about two hours from London ~C

Thanks Chris, you're really sweet! I'm assuming you intend to go to this concert? I also thought about renting a car but errr..seems a long way to Bath. I'm not adventurous enough to drive on the other side of the road anyway!! I should rather take the train to Newport and then go to Bath with another train. Seems easier! It's going to be another great HWI gathering! I heard a lot about Bath...it looks like a gorgeous little city. I should probably arrive earlier to visit. Stephany
