Bedlam Management have confirmed that Hayley will appear in concert at the Turner Sims Concert Hall in Southampton on 13th December. As this is a newly listed event, I will give a link to the venue's website although no details appear there at present: Roger Thanks Roger, at last Hayley is doing a concert in Southampton - and not before time! Turner Sims is 15 minutes drive up the road from me, it's part of the Southampton University main campus and seats upto 450 people - so it's smaller than Cadogan Hall and it sounds perfect for Hayley. The acoustics should be much better than the churches of a similar capacity, where Hayley often performs. This event is a guaranteed sell-out, trust me - we are Hayley-starved around here! The website is full of useful information about location and how to get there but I'll just add that it is 3 miles from the main line train stations at Southampton Central and 2 miles from the main line station at Southampton Airport (Parkway) - and the airport itself of course. There are two local route train stations each just over a mile away, these are Swaythling (local routes from the London direction) and St Denys (local routes from the London direction and the East). The University campus is on major bus routes from all these train stations. It also gives us a strong hint about which Country Hayley will be in during December and the others announced by Roger today seem to confirm that. I shall be there. Dave

Hi everyone, A bit like Dec last year Dave where Hayley had quite a few Christmas concerts before she headed home for Her own Break. It doesn't sound like Hayley will be with Celtic Women when they do their Aust/NZ tour, which I am not really surprised at. I think Hayley rather likes the concerts especially at that time of the year in the UK,doing her own performances. cheers, Rodders

I'm thinking that this might be one to go to also. While I'd love to go to Shephard's Bush, I'm still undecided as I have so much on this time of year. Later in the year, shortly before Xmas - sounds like a good Xmas present.. ..never know, might be on the same flight back to NZ as Hayley if I go home for Xmas too ~Chris

Hi
I have been in touch with Turner Sims.
"Yes Hayley Westenra will be performing at 8pm 13 December. Tickets for this event are priced at £25 (£24 concessions £13 students with ID). Public bookings will open on 3 September. Before that date tickets are only available to Friends of the Turner Sims. Further enquiries can be made to the box office on 023 80595151"
I presume the best seats will go to Friends of Turner Sims. There are 450 seats and there does not appear to be a raised stage as such.
I will definitly be going to this one.
Tony

Hi Mark, Both concerts seem very interesting, though the one in Bath features other artists so it won't be 100% Hayley Tickets for this event are priced at £13 students with ID). Now that is VERY interesting Thank you very much for the information, Tony. Too bad this concert is in the middle of a week (Thursday). I can be there for the concert in time without any problem but an overnight stay would mean missing a class on Friday morning. Stephany

Hi Stephany Ive made my mind up - Southampton is the one for me !!! Its actually only an hour or so drive from home, so I won't be staying overnight. Do you have to get to class the next day Oh dear, I shouldnt encourage you to miss lectures - but then again, it is Hayley Ive noted that tickets are not available until September 3rd. It would be great if you can come along. Lots of love Mark

It's beginning to look as though this could be another mega HWI gathering. As Stephany says, it depends on what seats are left, but with only 450 it should be quite cosy and with a good chance of a 'Hayleyfest' after the concert.
With over a month to booking though, I suppose ther's just a chance something else may come up.
Best wishes Grant

I really look forward to attending a Christmas concert. I suppose that she will be performing at least 'Away in a manger', 'O Holy Night' and 'Silent Night'. I loved her Christmas Cardiff concert so there's no reason I shouldn't like this one i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBut as Grant says, until then, there may be other Christmas concerts planed. Although I'm not sure she will be able to fit other concerts in her schedule considering that she already has her unconfirmed/confirmed November Japanese tour. Stephany
