Hi Folks. Thanks for the compliments on the pictures, I finally got a new computer the other day, it is not completely set up yet, but enough to get the photos up. Mark, Interesting observation about the hand gesture, when Hayley asks at a concert " How many of you have been to New Zealand " her hand is up and the little finger is out forming a V as well..... cute........ Graeme, I was reading your post about the chair and I just couldn't figure out what you meant. Silly me. There was no chair. The camera has a tilting and rotating screen so I move in on other peoples posed shots from the side or whatever and raise the camera over their heads. Also handy for taking low angle shots as well. I did enjoy going through the photos again I had only previewed them through the TV up to now, it was a very special event with some very special people ESPECIALLY Hayley. Thank you for making it such a wonderful evening for us..

Hi Paul, Silly me rather. I have a Panasonic Fz30 which has a screen as you describe & it never occurred to me that that's how you got your elevated shots.
Marianne & myself took an 8 Km walk today and at one point low trees blocked a beautiful view South of beaches cliffs etc & I used the rotating screen for that. In fact I turned the whole camera upside down as the screen was more usable that way.
I even added to my height by standing on a sign post frame.
So please forget any mention of a chair.....erase it from your mind.
Loved your shots tho. Graeme

Hi Graeme. Glad to see you have a Panasonic, I'm not normally given to praising specific products or manufacturers but Panasonic "stuff " seems to be the business most of the time and I have been considering a Panasonic camera for some time. Panasonic do a nice tiny DMCFX30 good for smuggling in to concerts, takes video and up to 4GB or more cards. 95mm X 52mm x 22mm with a good lens too.. On topic: the camera I used at Shepherds Bush was a Canon Power Shot A620 I've had it quite a while and I still don't like it. The manual that came with it is pathetic to say the least the software for it is **it and a downright nightmare to use. It is in fact the last Canon product I will buy. Try reading an on line manual in a leaky boat while you try to photograph the oncoming waterfall. A lot of modern product suppliers treat their customers with almost palpable contempt when it comes to manuals and accessories. 400 notes for a camera and you don't even get a cloth slipcase to protect it. Bye Bye Canon Our relationship is OVER I used a Canon AE1 REAL FILM camera for 20 years along with a Fuji STX1N and I was very fond of both of them both, They both did exactly what they were meant to do. God please spare me from modern products that have " No user serviceable parts " in them. comet the Luddite

I personally think that your Canon pictures look exceptional Panasonic do a nice tiny DMCFX30 good for smuggling in to concerts, takes video and up to 4GB or more cards. 95mm X 52mm x 22mm with a good lens too.. It's the camera I just got for my birthday, Paul Take care, Stephany

Hi Stephany, Graeme and Comet!
I'd recommend Panasonic too.
When my Nikon Coolpix 5700 gave up - just before Hayley's concert in Dublin in June (!!!!), I replaced it with a Panasonic Lumix TZ3.
Not in the same league as the Nikon I know but I find it great and much handier. Picture quality is excellent and it has 10X zoom but the flash is basic.
Easier to hide in a pocket during Hayley's next concert in Dublin in December - or in Shepherd's Bush next year!
Regards,
Paddy

Hi James and folks in general, I think most people are not to fond of either seeing themselves in photos or hearing themselves recorded. There are certainly some pictures here I wish I had the power to delete and I wish I had straightened my tie who said something about a paper bag on my head ? comet

Hello everybody! I am very honoured to say that Comet/Paul has a very big surprise for us all. You probably all wondered why he didn't have many photos of Hayley on stage at the Shepherds Bush concert. It's simply because he was filming at the time instead The files are very big so I'm uploading them progressively on my server. You can already start with: I uploaded this one first because today is the commemoration for Passchendaele and also because the All Blacks need it for Saturday I will upload the rest shortly. Thanks a million Comet. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifStephany

Hi Stephany The download doesn't appear to be working for me It's been showing "connecting" for at least 10 minutes and I've now abandoned it. Any suggestions? Love Grant

Hi Grant,
You're not the only one who seems to have trouble uploading the files. They are too big so I'm going to compress them but the image&sound quality will therefore be lower. Edit: I changed the file linked above. The clip is now 52Mo (it was 366Mo before) so I hope it works now.

Hi Stephany, Have you included Dave in the loop? He's a video/ audio expert - I've worked with him before- he knows the works! Dave is a rather busy man at the best of times but I'm sure he'll be willing to share a few shortcuts with you. See what you think... Andrew

Hi Andrew, I didn't want to bother Dave But if really it doesn't work...then I will need to! Paul has also sent the clips to Drew so hopefully he will also find a way to upload them just in case it doesn't work with my server. Anyway, here is another clip: . Stephany

Hi Stephany! Thank you for the videos. I'm waiting for the download of "6 months in a leaky boat" at the moment. The download started but it's very slow and stops completely from time to time. But Hayley has already started to sing and the rear view of Richard's and your head could be seen as well. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThomas

Hi Thomas, Thank you for the feedback. The server is probably very slow at the moment because I'm still uploading other files. . . Stephany
