I have my ticket! Standing area, so hoping that work allows me to make it.. There's an NCP carpark nearby, which means I'll be driving in! Yay! Hi Chris I'm also driving as I have to get back to Derby for early morning. Richard has suggested 'on street' parking close to East Acton tube station, but if there is a proper car park, I'd prefer to use that. I've found several car parks on the net but all seem to be over a mile away. Would appreciate info as to where you will park and details of costs etc. (not having enough change can be a problem!) I believe Mark is also planning to drive in, so we could end up with a mini HWI parking session! Best wishes Grant

Hi everyone, This event is getting very interesting! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI am very pleased to hear that you'll be with us, Tim. WONDERFUL news! Staying at the Grantly Hotel ( thanks for the clue Stephany) I was supposed to stay at the Grantly Hotel too but I mistakenly cancelled my booking so I'm staying in another hotel on Shepherds Bush Road. Perfect, Mark! Thank you very much! I will also bring some just in case we need some more...haha, we never know who might come at our HWI pre-gathering. The check-in time at hotels usually is 12pm or 2pm. So I might leave our little group at some time before the concert starts to check-in in my hotel. I will probably do the same. I arrive at 11am at Waterloo station and intend to leave my luggage at the hotel's cloakroom - unless they already have a room ready of course! If not, I'll go back to the hotel later to get the keys and will rejoin our little group before the concert. Last update HWI members going to this concert!! RICHARD,CHRIS W, STEPHANY, COMET, THOMAS, MARK, CAITE, ROGER, MARTIN, STEVE H, STUART,GRANT, JIM G, TIM J, DUTCHJOYCE AND HUSBAND. + Jim's wife... = 17 people? GOODNESS ME! Do I need a third bottle of wine? Best wishes, Stephany

Hi everyone, I hope you'll have a great time in London. But that seems inevitable. Here's a short excerpt from Hayley's blog: blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=25186340&blogID=297566025 "...On the 31st August (this month!) I will be holding a concert –actually, more like a gathering! -at the Shephard's Bush Empire in London called 'Hayley's Kiwi Ceili' to give the All Black's a fabulous send off for the Rugby World Cup. Dave Dobbyn, a kiwi legend, is going to be joining me up on stage to sing some of New Zealand's favourite songs as well as us both performing some of our own hits. For those of you in or around London, you gotta come!
Right, better be on my way. Lots of love to you all…
Hayleyxxx"All the best Karsten

Hey Stephany, the answer is NO, not a real fan, like me...but he likes her music. He wants to taste the atmosphere at Sheperds Bush, and this concert was a good combination to held a short break in LONDON.greetz JOYCE.

Good thing. But at the end of the concert, he will be totally westenwowed like the rest of us. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI assume Hayley will be singing at least 'Pokarekare Ana' and I'm sure I will experience a jaw-dropping moment...but I won't be the only one Stephany

Hi Stephany
At the last 4 concerts I attended, Hayley opened her second set with Pokarekare Ana.
At Stoke, she opened the concert with it!
For a 'Kiwi Ceili' who knows! She could open with it, or she could keep us in suspense and sing it at the end, maybe even as an encore.
But I guarantee she will sing it!
Best wishes Grant

Hi Stephany, I hope you enjoy your very first Hayley concert! (umm...is it possible not to?) With 2500 posts, (congratulations, btw!!), it is hard to believe this will be the very first time seeing her live!! Here's a question for ya.... "Are you getting excited yet?" I think I may know the answer to that. All this excitement is rubbing off, and it's going to be a real bummer come Aug. 31 when I realize I'm not going...but until then... WOO-HOO for Steph!! For the rest of the HWI gathering that have seen Hayley for the upteenth time, I want to whole-heartedly say, you're on your own! Only kidding, guys...it sounds as though there may be a couple other first-timers going as well! Have fun, guys!! We need at least one group photo taken that evening, even if Hayley is not available! Now, if we only knew how many days were left (cue Richard).

All this excitement is rubbing off, and it's going to be a real bummer come Aug. 31 when I realize I'm not going... Hi Eric, I am getting very excited as you can imagine! I've never met a 'celebrity' whom I look up to and admire like Hayley. What a treat that will be to hear her singing! I also look forward to seeing Fiona Pears perform her solo numbers. And of course meeting Roger, Richard, Grant, Mark, Tim, Steve, Stuart, Martin, Chris, Caite, Thomas, Joyce, (& her husband) Jim (& his wife) and Comet will be the icing on the cake i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif ! I obviously wish you could be with us at Shepherds Bush, Eric (and everyone else from HWI), but we'll keep you in our thoughts during the whole day Love, Stephany PS : By the way, Joyce and Jim, could you give us the names of your husband and wife? They would probably appreciate it if we didn't call them 'Joyce's husband' and 'Jim's wife' Thanks!

Hi Stephany,
My wife's name is Irene. She is also a fan but not quite so obsessed as some of us. We are both excitedly looking forward to the concert. We should be booking into the Grantly about midday and look forward to linking up with everybody.

Hi Jim, Thanks - I look forward to meeting you and your wife, Irene As most of us will check-in to our hotels around midday (Jim, Thomas, Tim, Comet...), I suggest we gather around 1pm for lunch. Or maybe it is too late for you guys? Stephany

Hi Stephany 1pm sounds fine to me. For those driving in there is an NCP car park HERE which is only 5 minutes walk from the venue. Have we decided which pub we're going to meet in? Best wishes Grant
