Hello everybody! Shepherds Bush Green is not really a good place for a picnic, so it might be better to meet at O'Neill's pub, which is next door to the Empire. Alternatively we could meet at Walkabout, which is next door on the other side. Car parking is very difficult in the area, although there may be limited street parking available within walking distance. Car parks are virtually non-existent, so public transport is the best option. Tim, your connections from Heathrow are correct. Grant, your best bet for parking might be East Acton, from where you can take the Central Line two stops to Shepherds Bush. 19 days to go! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSee you there, Richard

Hi Richard Thanks for the info, as always tremendously helpful for those, like me, that don't have much idea about getting around in London I'm also thinking about driving in so that I dont have to worry about last trains etc. Richard, do you know if there is a car park at the East Acton tube station by any chance ? Tim, it'll be great to see you again, I thought you may not be able to resist this one. Have a safe and uneventful journey - see you there It sounds like a good plan to initially meet at either of the two pubs you suggest Richard. We just need to agree on which one and a suitable time I guess. Best regards Mark

Hi Folks. I will be arriving at Luton on Friday Morning about 9:15 .. Any suggestions as to how to proceed from there would be greatly appreciated.
Would a taxi from Luton to Shepherds Bush be expensive ? any idea plus or minus £10 ?
"THIS IS GONNA BE GREAT " Is a line used in some rather funny beer commercials here in Ireland.
There appears to be a parkland in front of the venue. I am looking at it on google earth and see the shadows of two tall buildings on south side cast across the park.
Anyone know which building is The Empire and which side of the park or which Road it's on ?

Hello Comet! Your best way from Luton Airport would be to take the train to Kings Cross/St. Pancras and then catch the London Underground Hammersmith and City Line direct to Shepherds Bush. The Empire is on the west side of Shepherds Bush Green, and you can't miss it. Just remember 'West Side Story'! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifMark, there isn't a car park at East Acton, but it's a residential area only two miles from Shepherds Bush. You should be able to find a parking space there during the afternoon. Best Wishes, Richard

Goodness! What a gathering this is turning out to be. I'm really excited about this. I just hope I don't get lost on the way because my sense of direction is HORRIBLE. I got lost on my first day in London looking for Westminster Cathedral. I found it though and will never forget where it is. I'm trying not to count down because it makes me too anxious and time go slowly. I don't even have a calendar hanging in my room because of that. I'm for either pub so which ever the majority would like to go to is fine with me. <3 Caite

Hi all! Grant and TimJ, it's so great that both of you come to the show. I arrive at London Heathrow at 7.45am which is quite early so I'm flexible with the time. The check-in time at hotels usually is 12pm or 2pm. So I might leave our little group at some time before the concert starts to check-in in my hotel. It's close to Paddington so not too far away. I don't mind to which pub we go. We should go to the one which has enough free places for our group. But the Wakabout sounds nice. We have many Irish Pubs in Germany but not many Australian bars. Would be something different. But I'll follow the decision of the majority. Thomas

Thank you Richard. I like using the tube when I'm in London. Where I live in Germany it's hard to go anywhere without a car. Thomas
