No you're not. It is right to show it as it really was. I merely mentioned it as a matter of interest. After all, it is the most famous rope ever to appear on HWI! Roper Roger

Grant,
You don't need to apologise for the quality of the photos - they certainly help do justice to the marvellous setting.
Sounds like I picked a great occasion to see Hayley for the first time and it's great I don't have to wait long for another show!
Regards, James

Seems I got a bit ahead of myself last night, so here are a few more pics from the first half of the concert. Wasn't going to include this one, it's an enlargement and very grainy Should have a few more ready this afternoon. Best wishes Grant

As promised, here are the first of the pictures with Hayley wearing her red dress. I have to say, this dress is growing on me by the hour! Again, sorry they're very grainy - should have a few more ready by tonight. Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant, Great pictures, sorry Stuart and I were not able to join you at this event. Just out of curiosity what was the cause of the few pictures that were grainy, was it the light or were you some distance from the stage? Steve H

Hi Grant, Great pictures, sorry Stuart and I were not able to join you at this event. Just out of curiosity what was the cause of the few pictures that were grainy, was it the light or were you some distance from the stage? Steve H Hi Steve Thanks for your comments. We were reasonably close to the stage although I needed most of the 200mm end of my Tamron zoom to get Hayley full frame. As I am still on a learning curve with my DSLR. Before Hayley "People" and "Night" never figured much in my photography so I'm experimenting quite a bit. There was very little in the way of stage lighting and I found myself down to a 40th of a second at 1600 ISO and f5.6 so I tried some at 100th second and let the camera under expose - I've found that works in certain conditions when a faster speed is needed! One or two were also heavily cropped which doesn't help! I guess it will also make a difference that the Canon Digital Rebel only has 6.3 megapixels. My friend has a 400D which I think is 10.1 and the results from that are stunning. I'm always happy to listen to any constructive advice Best wishes Grant

Me again! When I said 'tomorrow' I didn't exactly think, sort of, now! but anyway, her goes the last few from me for this one. Ah! This last one - I wish I could remember the reason for the expression on Hayley's face, I think it's priceless and is probably going to be a target for the 'captioneers'. Well, me first! "Gosh! those French rugby authorities won't know what hit them when I reveal my cunning plan for the All Blacks to win!!Best wishes and good night! Grant

Hi guys, Thanks to Grant's excellent set of photos I haven't had to do much work on this so far (but some are uploaded, ready and waiting ) so I'll wait for a pause in the proceedings before posting some more of mine... otherwise you'll be overwhelmed by them all! Except for one... I couldn't resist it i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThree quarters of the main HWI contingent: Roger, Gordon, Grant (the rest being behind the camera!) Gotcha! Cheers, Dave
