I'm not familiar with 'Rule Brittania' but just heard it on the recording of Classic FM. Is this some sort of anthem?

Fortunately Oksana Dave is at the controls. Precisely what controls I haven't the remotest idea. In my day it would be 10.5" reels of tape spinning at 15"per second connected (monaurally) by a BS Jack on a thing called a Vortexion which weighed a ton! [and a half--if you had a hall to cart it down to the car!] Peter S. Hi Peter and everyone! Yes I did record it... in three different ways! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifPeter., the fourth way could have been by Revox 10.5 inch reel-to-reel but I decided 3 times was enough cover! I have to go out now for a couple of hours but I'll get back to it later this evening. I enjoyed that! Cheers, Dave

Oh that's a shame Stephanie Very unfortunately, Stuart, Hayley is not singing 'Somewhere' on this new 'West Side Story' CD. It's Connie Fisher who has this privilege. It's a shame because Hayley did a smashing version of 'Somewhere' at Woburn. Stephany Oh - thats a shame Stephany. I'll have to make sure I get the mp3 when Dave's worked his magic! Stuart

The sequence of songs at the end of the broadcast always form the climax of the "Last Night at the Proms" - the last concert in the series of Proms which run through the summer. Hayley has sung this before at Wisley in 2006, another outdoor concert. Stuart

Right - time for some more pictures - back to the second session of Hayley & Vittorio's West Side Story Medly. Vittorio returns in a jacket to sing a duet of "Tonight" after Hayley sang "Somewhere" Stuart

Well done, Stephany. I wonder if Karsten is aware and able to use that link if she can't listen in directly. Peter S. Hi Peter, thanks for your thoughts... - well, there was no direct way to listen and - due to Stephany's advice - I've just begun hearing the concert as my connection broke down - and came back just now after 7 p.m. UK time. So I'm highly delighted this evening Perhaps one of the members is able to post a recording of that broadcast ? Many thanks in advance and all the best from Germany Karsten

Loved the photos of Hayley in the red dress, well worth waiting for.
We may joke about methods of recording but I still have a Fidelity tape recorder from 1968 in full working order, only takes 7 inch reels though.

Stephany Hi Stephany, Yes, as Stuart has indicated, 'Rule Britannia' is rather a popular "little ditty" here... i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifNo doubt it will "grow on you"! Andrew

So it will be after midnight UK time before I can get anything posted. Watch this space! Cheers, Dave
